He backtracked to saying CJ has a better defensive rating than the Blazers as a team so he isn’t a liability. Partially true, but look who else is on the team.
 
Well that was a sad way the end the weekend.
 
So, I couldn’t watch this shit show, but how come DJ Jr. didn’t play? And how did RoCo manage to play that many minutes and not score a point? All-in-all, not a good look for Olshey’s two big off-season acquisitions.

it's 100% false.....CJ's defensive rating is 118; the team's is 116.6

CJ has a -1.6 DBPM as well

and unlike Dame, CJ hasn't had to play the last 5-6 minutes of the 1st and 3rd quarter with Kanter and Melo. I get it's brother looking out for brother, but his brother is a bad defender

Jones was DNP-CD, otherwise known as scapegoat

RoCo drifted on offense while CJ-Powell-Melo dominated usage
 
Terry said he didn't want to disparage Jones Jr but benching him was what was best for this team right now.
 
Its just a game with high paid millionaires that don't get as upset as forum fans! Its their job and they probably feel there are more important things than winning, right?

Them stats are advance stats on him. His game to game stats he is 13.5. No his advance stats are not good.
 
They actually cut away from Stotts interview because it was going bad. The reporters were not going easy.

First, he said it wasn't the plan not to play Jones, that's just how it happened. He wanted to give those minutes to RHJ, and RHJ did well.

Then Quick said but DJJ is the Blazers best FA, he's not a third string player and then Stotts said he didn't want to disparage DJJ but benching him is what was best for the team at this point in the season.

jones isn't some savior, but terry keeps picking on him for some reason.

maybe cuz he doesn't give one damn about defense.
 
The Blazers have two wins above teams over .500 in since February 14th (over two months).
- One was against a Miami Heat team missing Jimmy Butler and Goran Dragic
- The other was against Dallas
 
Look, Jones has been disappointing too - I have no problem admitting that. Some games it's hard to know he even played. That said, RHJ didn't bring anything he doesn't.
 
Jones is as good as gone. He should opt out. Why Stott's would insult someone who didn't even play is mind boggling.

Blazers would have had a better chance playing DJJ over RHJ
 
Someone gonna tell me that the Blazers didn't get good enough looks to make all those shots they missed tonight?

Blazers lose another game because of one terrible quarter.
