Golden State beat us with 0 of 5 starters.....sometimes it's about effort.

Sure. Sometimes. More often, it’s about talent. Continuity. Personnel. Star players. We are missing all of those.

I cant wait for Neil telling us that Simons will be the next Jordan

Watching Melo brick midrange isolations gives me flashbacks to the Memphis games years back where we just repeatedly tried to live off Aldridge fade-aways despite the efficiency being dismal.
It's stupid. I hope that we don't bring him back as anything more than a vet who doesn't play... He hasn't learned how to play more efficiently. The only thing that's stopping him from being a solid starter is his shot selection and his lack of effort on defense... It's frustrating.

I suspect being healthy wouldn't have made as much of a difference as people think.
We didn't even have Nurk or CJ end of last season and still ran off wins to get 3 seed last year. And oh, made it to the WCF when CJ came back. I wouldn't count Stotts out. He has consistently gotten a lot out of this team after the break.

Down 13. We need a someone to step up and go into Super Damian mode right about now

We got the #3 seed because Ant defied Stotts effort to get the #4 by sitting everyone.....and Ant/Skal went off!

Yeah, because we had players that Stotts didn't have to coach defense to. Stotts has never made a positive impact on our defense. EVER. He doesn't help bad defenders improve. He doesn't help average defenders become good. He doesn't help good defenders become great. He isn't good schematically on that end. Stotts deficiencies can be masked to a certain extent.

A lot of people look at results without context. I look at the context (aka, what is truly happening out there on the floor?)

Lets just let guys lineup 3s all game... cool.

Our only hope is New Orleans going cold. When Melli misses, good things happen for us.

That was one of the reasons. That wasn't the only game we played that season.

Well we almost came back. Oh well. Good thing Grizz lose too. Let's get the Pistons.

Does Stotts think that somehow melo will shoot us back into the game? Why is he in there?

Going from being the #3 Seed and making the Conference finals last year to this year's miserable season, it's like the triumph of climbing Mt Everest and then deciding to take quick way down by jumping off the top of the mountain.

And if we got the 4th we would have lost in the 1st round
That's pure conjecture. But I question the assertion that Stotts wanted the 4th seed. Maybe he simply thought rest was more important than seeding. He sure didn't look scared of the Thunder when we played them in the first round.
