Whew...... lucky the team we are playing next is “trash” and will be “lucky to make the playoffs”
Imagine if we had to play a good team after tonight’s loss.

If they rest some players we might have a chance

If they rest some players we might have a chance

We continually play worse when teams are missing key players - Rubio tonight, Wall and Washington, Spurs and Leonard, Pelicans and Davis, Celtics without Kyrie - it goes on and on.

Ya, we're gonna get killed on national TV. Half our dudes are prolly already mentally in Cancun/Carribean/etc. We're gonna get slaughtered.

Why is Collins still getting regular minutes? Is he our new Vonleh-- getting minutes by default because of draft position? He's been trash out there on both ends. Bench his ass and play Meyers.

I chose Dame. I think Stehg might hit a few more outsiders, but has no chance of stopping Lillards drives.

Well, hopefully the Blazers will be angry after last nights loss and bring some intensity because Wednesday is going to be hard. And the Warriors always seem their best against us. I doubt they rest anyone. It would be a great win for the Blazers before all star weekend.

Steph's handles and ability to finish around the rim are light-years ahead of Dame's. IMO, Steph would score at will.

Thats where we will have to disagree. I think Dame has way better side to side jerk moves that would land Curry on his ass half the time. I think Steph is quicker, but thats just at sprinting to the hoop. When it comes to side to side jukes, I think Dame has him beat and Curry would commit too many fouls.

I am a homer on this though and dont watch a ton of GSW games anymore. As a matter of fact, I dont really watch them at all anymore other than when they face us.

Dame hater.....;)

Wish our team can execute and beat them. The last game was a bit of a stun loss.

you can beat GSW in regular season, but in the playoffs... this could be a win, our guys will be motivated cause they play against the champs, but also cause of the embarrassing game they played against UTA... only thing Im worried about is that piece of shit Zaza Pachulia

look at how he tried to injure PG13

Has there ever been a triple-digit loss? Can we be the first?

No, the worst ever Blowout was on December 17th, 1991. The Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Miami Heat 148-80...68 points.

I know. I was joking. We'd either have to score <10 with them scoring >100 + whatever we score. Or they'd have to score 1,000+ with us scoring <901.
I'm not putting it past us for either scenario to happen, but I'm also not holding my breath. ;p

Rookie wall. Let's see how he does after the break.

you're joking, right?
Right now, Meyers is better than Zach. And I don't think it's close. The slight benefits Zach brings defensively are really mitigated by how foul prone he is.

here are the stats of both players this season (Zach on top, Meyers on bottom):

the only thing Meyers has on Collins is shooting percentages. Collins brings more to the table than Meyers does. Collins, although much smaller in size comparison, defends a hell of a lot better than Meyers does. Meyers just tries to get out of the way.

honestly, though, i dont blame Meyers for how he plays. i blame Stotts for making him how he is. soon enough though, Collins will turn into Meyers because of coaching.

Davis prefers to play with Collins, too.

It's really not close. Meyers is playing spot minutes and outproducing him. He has a 19 PER and a 70% TS% for godsakes. It's his best season yet. He's earned more time, and I'm a vocal Meyers hater.

honestly, he should be out producing him. he has been in the league for how long now? his lack of defense is outshining his offense ability and Collins is the opposite. Meyers just doesnt do anything on defense at all and sets 30ft picks and stands at the 3 pt line with flashes of going to the paint. the minutes should go to collins just based off of him having better defense.

I admit I've said multiple times that Nards hasn't looked like a 2year old trying to play basketball this year, and prolly should be getting more minutes.
However his pick and roll defense or lack of even trying to contest 5ft runners against Utah showed he shouldn't be getting PT.

That game wasn't on him, and he's not the reason why Portland lost.
However that doesn't change the fact that too often the offensive player would run pick and roll. See Nards 3-4 ft from the rim and know Nards wasn't even going to get a hand up to challenge the shot.

I really don't care if Nards gets scored on out of the pick and roll. That's not his strength. But at least get your hands up and look menacing.
