The goal should be to get Dame back as soon as is safely possible because he said he wasn't coming back to play for a pick and we no longer are playing for a pick. So when Dame is ready to ball lets get him back on the court with these guys so we can see what we have. If him and Ant can make each other better then we know we can build around them going forward but if him and Ant take away from each others' games like Dame and CJ did then we will know we have to move one.

I really think it's that simple. If they click in the last three weeks of the season and the play ins and hopefully the playoffs, then we have something but if they don't we have something that we need to change. That really should be enough time when we see how fast it has come together for the guys playing right now.

Six weeks out from surgery will be the day of our next game but obviously that would be rushing him back and no one want that. I do think since they said he was already at the gym shooting a week and a half ago, we should really expect him to be back two or three weeks later. So by the time we play Brooklyn on March 18th (that's nine weeks after surgery) we should have Dame back and get to see what him and Ant look like together for 14 regular season games and probably more than that.

Honestly, would people here be that mad if we knocked Lebron and the Lakers out of the playoffs in a play in game? Especially if it kept the NOP out of the playoffs?

Bro that'd be one of the greatest days ever.

Especially THIS iteration of the L*kers.

Damn it's been a LONG time since we've had a 600 post game thread.

Love it.
fans are getting their excitement back and its noticable in moda center too

who would think so after losing cj mccollum, powell & roco, it should be the opposite, but here we are

we dont even have to win games, fans are just excited to see something new, its refreshing and the way team plays its nothing short of enjoyable

Maybe this is low hanging fruit, but you seeing any resemblance to the 2004 Pistons?
Tough D...A different "guy" each night while everybody quietly does their job.
It’s early still and the game has changed a bit since then. You figure though they have their three main stays in Lillard , Ant and Nurk then you know Little will have big games. Seems like Hart can as well. We’ve seen Winslow have moments and they have a backup in Watford. Brown could become solid.
Yeah any of them can have a big night.

Enjoying the hell out of it.

That Knicks game was unreal to be at. Crowd was super into it.

I'm not all that sold on Little.
I think Winslow is better.

Also let's not forget the blazers have won in different ways:

Huge comeback against the Knicks.

A damn good shellacking of the Bucks.

And a playoff like grind it out win against the Grizzlies.

That's damn impressive.

And on that last one, they lost the gamelong lead with just a few minutes left, and retook the lead.

I like Ja the dude, but hate his game if that makes sense? Like it’s just so annoying to watch. Actually let me rephrase that: I hate how he’s officiated.

We finally have that second all-star to pair with Dame. Need to get as many athletic wings as possible. Not sure I want Grant at all if he's gonna be a diva and ask for shots. Between Dame/Ant/Nurk/Hart there won't be too many possessions to go around.

I have never been sold on Grant. With Dame and Ant Portland has incredible floor-stretching in the back court. Hart, Winslow, Little are solid wings (Hart a bit more), but Hart is easily the best 3 point shooter and he's below average (.347 career). Grant is even worse. I don't want a reboot of the shooting inconsistency Portland has been suffering since Matthews/Batum left. I'd like the Blazers to add at least one knockdown shooter in the front-court

that's why I was hoping for two top-10 picks to see if the Blazers could shake loose a player like John Collins for Bledsoe and a couple of lottery picks. He might be a bad example but he's a tier above Grant and I don't think Portland should settle

I am with you on Dame. And what we have to check actually, asap, is if Dame can play in Billups system. Cronin traded players, that knew basketball better than coach. I say check how and if Lillard can work with this team and make moves in off-season.

I hope Simmons is still starting when Dame returns hes legit and our future. Also we may have won that Cj trade if it was only traded cj for Hart and that was it, everything else is a bonus. Still upset with that clippers trade but wow we badly needed a shakeup. F U Neil for never doing it.
