I remember when he was announced for going to the athletic and I remembered clicking on that first article to read it and seeing you had to pay for it. I know some people pay for stuff like that but I think it’s insane to think people care that much for an article to pay for it. This is 2018. Nobody reads the newspaper. Nobody goes to blockbuster mostly because they died out yeah but when digital rolled through it killed it.

The subscription ~$40/yr gives you access to the whole Athletic network, and for all intents and purposes, they monopolized this system by hiring the top writer in every market and putting them behind a paywall. I think that price is totally reasonable for the content that is offered. I just don't like how they went about doing it. There are other ways of monetizing this content outside of the subscription model.

It’s no offense to people that still do that, I’m just saying a majority people don’t do that these days and the ones that do, it’s a very specific demographic. Shit I wish we went back to the days of newspaper for news. I get so tired of social media even though you get news quicker and faster, the negative being it has brought in this clickbait journalism and full of half truths or agendas, bias.

It's kind of crazy how much different this team would feel if they would've just finished off their comeback on Saturday or if they won the Wizards game. 4-1 would feel like things would be different this year. 3-2 feels like they are the same old slow start Blazers.
