This guy is literally as genuine as they come for being a superstar. The words he spoke gave chills.

We're so lucky to have a better person than a basketball player playing for our team. (And that's saying something!)

One of the many things I love about Dame is that he does all of this without bringing the MSM or politics into his message. That is so refreshing. Never once have I ever heard him utter anything political in all the time he's been here. I love that about him. He just sticks to basketball and the community, because those two things are what's most important to him, and that's where he can make the biggest impact.

We are so lucky to have him on this team!

Man. I love Dame. But I hope all this affection between the town and the player doesn't end unceremoniously. Pushed by time or circumstances or whatever..... I don't think it will because this town is the perfect fit for him. I mean where else is he gunna go, LA? Pft.
