Do you agree with giving Hollis-Jefferson a contract for the remainder of the season?

better scorer, better rebounder, less turnovers, less fouls, better field goal percentage, better free throw percentage. the only thing he lacks is defense and that sweet spin move.
can you explain why is he a backup for almost his entire nba career

easy:

utah had Al Jefferson and Rudy Gobert
OKC had Steven Adams, however Kanter's first year with the team, he was a starter
he started in New York
Portland - he started cause of Nurks injury
Boston - i really have no clue why he didnt start. the only thing i can think of is they are a team that relies heavily on their guards.
Portland - he should be starting.

Looks like Kyrie will be out. KD isn’t on the injury report so looking like he’ll play but not sure how much since he played last night.

POR is actually favored by 2.5 points.

I shouldn't have had to.

name one starting center in the nba today that:
1) is a liability defensively
2) Doesn’t space the court
3) doesn’t pass the ball

There’s a reason why Kanter has been a backup essentially his entire career, especially in the modern game— “Can’t play Kanter.” He wasn’t even in Boston’s rotation in the playoffs last season. Stotts is the only coach dumb enough to not only play him significant minutes, but to also pair him with Carmelo Anthony.

Without Harden or Durant the game is very winnable but only one outcome can tell us anything now. If we win we beat a shell of a team so we can't really learn anything about our team from that. If we lose, then we can really start to see clearly that we will be in the play-in tournament and most likely not make it out of it.

brooklyn is stacked, often theyve been playing without one or two of kyrie, durant and harden and yet theyre 1st in the east

they dont have much rim protection, so this is the game where nurk & kanter should do big damage to them, but also dame & cj & powell should attack the rim

Right, it's very winnable but without so much of their firepower (just so we're clear they haven't played too many games with both Harden and KD out because Harden has been the healthiest of their big three) a win is just a win, it makes absolutely no statement about where we are as a team but a loss would tell us that we're really not in a good place.

I'm looking for signs that this team has made some sort of adjustment and will make it out of the play-in and be competitive in the playoffs. The last two games were obviously better than losses but they weren't enough for me to change how I see this season ending up. When I thought that we'd face KD and Kyrie, I thought a win would be a great indicator that things on this team are turning around but that's not who we're facing.

wel, someone has to get the offensive rebounds. dont really have anyone else that does that.

this shouldn't be that much of a debate.

also, if you are so pissy with Stotts playing him with Carmelo, maybe Kanter should start.

Zach Collins on the court pre game doing some shots probably for the first time in months

Boneheaf play #1 - CJ fouls a 3 point shooter - cost about 1.5 points

PLAY THROUGH NURK FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, we always get better shots when we do. The turnovers are something you live with. Jokic averages over 3 turnovers a game but you don’t see Denver taking the ball outta his hands.

Bone head play #2 - Dame makes a high risk pointless long pass that Cj turns into a mid range 2 with no chance for an offensive rebound

Gonna be a long game if they can’t make threes.

CJ should consider joining a union. He has 4 bricks to start the game

Even Fire Ant can’t make a 3 tonight. Blazers 0 for 7 from downtown to begin the game

My favorite grouping: Kanter, Melo, and Simons.

Nurk was great. Shooting literally couldn't be much worse. Ill omen
