The refs called a terrible game. Terrible. It was bad both ways, but worse for Portland. You can say the refs had a direct impact on the game with lack of calls the last two possessions.

But, Portland should not have been in that position to have the refs determine the outcome in the final 20 seconds.

This game reminds me why I hate the NBA. I had quit watching Portland for awhile but tuned in to see Nurkic. The refs blew so many calls. Then in OT they swallow their whistlen on blatant fouls on Nurk and Damian, then miss Morris stepping out of bounds.

Yeah. It's tough. My heart has been so involved, for decades. The pinwheel. The love of it all. But I've so most definitely seen enough shitty and biased officiating it's impossible to ignore.

Honestly? It was the Laker/Sacramento series that sealed it for me. Not the Blazers

But here I am. Because I'm in love.

For sure. But that 13-0 run wasn't all of the officials. Washington chipped and hammered at the lead -albeit with some helpfrom the boys in stripes- but our offense looked out of sync during that time. Too much forcing. Not enough ball movement. The Blazers wants away from everything that built the lead and battled the runs in the early 3rd quarter.

I have been to 3 games this year. I've watched maybe 4-5. I will always follow, but I won't invest time to watch games on the TV for the very reason put on display tonight.
