No, no. Not what I am saying. Don't take the missed call so personally
I can't believe you complain that our new announcers are not Portland enough when you say shot like this. Do you not get this fanbase and how much we get behind our team when we get screwed over?

Yes, the refs blew it. Like they have blown it in the past and will in the future. We have benefited from bad or non calls too. It happens

Just imagine losing a playoff series or a championship due to multiple horrendous calls. It's hard to believe this game wasn't rigged. How can refs be so incompentent?

I don't need to imagine it, but thanks for bringing up Game 7 2000, ya bastard!!

He's right. Move on ad play better with a 21 point lead at home

This. Ultimately, I can get past one blown call at the end of OT. But....we wouldn't have been in OT in the first place if it weren't for blowing a 21 point lead.

This team blows leads like it's going out of style, and I'm sure we're all beyond sick of it.

Your shit gets tiring but hey it is what it is. That's more than a blown foul call, but you wanna try and relate the two. Yeah great logic
So my "shit" of saying things like we have benefited from last second blunders by the refs is false?

I hate when Bill Simmons is right about our fan base

So people can't be mad at a blown call by the refs because the Blazers blew a 21pt lead?

Not saying that. The whole game thread you constantly bitch about Dame and the team in this "yup I told you so" way but a blown foul call is WAY different than a guy clearly stepping out of bounds followed by one of those missed foul calls. So we got fucked twice there in about 30 seconds.

That blown call wouldn't have mattered if we didn't blow the lead in the first place. Which this team seems to have perfected into an art form.

That's what I am getting on twitter and here. I absolutely can't be mad we lost this game on that call because we blew a 21 point lead. Well that's the beauty of the game you see, a team comes back, we fight back, the game is close and is ruined on that call. People don't wanna see that they came back and we looked like we were done at the end of the 4th but we fought back. The wiz blew that lead. Tied it up, OT. Sports fans are just idiots

Strawman arguments will get us nowhere
Do I really need to point out every fucking? I guess you don't watch, or you watch with the opposite of rose-colored glasses. on I guess that's green colored glasses?

Teams blow leads all the time. It happens. That's part of sports. You really expect teams to stop playing once they are losing?

Did anyone not see the super bowl?

If we had gone on a run after blowing the 21 point lead and ended up winning by 10 I'm guessing very few people would be complaining about blowing the lead because we would have gone on a run and won. Just like if the right call was made we would have won. If that game had been for the championship and Dame had hit that last shot with 0.4 no one would have cared about the blown lead.

Of course were sick of it, but having games stolen from us by referees is different than blowing them on our own. Those two things have no bearing on one another. Why does a lead we had earlier matter at all? Leads get blown, basketball happens.

So because we blew a 21p lead we cant be mad at a missed call on Dames last shot nor an obvious step out of bounds. Got it.

Go back and rewatch the game. See if there were any moving screens by Meyers that weren't called, or 3 steps from someone that wasn't called. NBA refs miss a shit ton of calls. That one just happened at the end.

Nurk hit 2 big free throws to tie the game up late, but had he missed one, people would have grumbled, but no one would have said a word about the 4 FT's we missed earlier in the game.

NOBODY IS SAYING YOU CAN'T BE MAD. All we're saying is that it wouldn't have been necessary if we didn't blow the lead in the first place.

Be mad all you want. Personally, I'm mad at the WHOLE goddamn game: refs and team alike. Even Meyers and his stupid fucking tweets.

Teams with glass leads shouldn't throw rocks at refs.
