Careful with signing to keep “chemistry”. That is the reason we are financially crippled currently.

Difference is we have 10million being spent on someone who not only doesn’t contribute but is just not good for anything but waving towels. I definitely understand the need for caution but this is working much better than anticipated and I think we’re a bit limited for options as it is. Either we keep them around or pray we’re able to pull off another couple miracles on minimum salary players.

Wait, what? They are both good players and offer different skill sets. Why pit one against the other? It's a team, my man. That's why we are winning right now. Everyone is playing together and like a team. Gtfo with that shit .
Mr Robot is Jusuf's mom. She's just frustrated her baby boy isn't playing 48 minutes a game.

If we're a 53 win team in 3rd place in the Western Conference, are we financially crippled, or paying for the talent that gets us there?

Other than Meyers... dude must have pictures of Olshey in compromising positions...

I have gotten on Stotts for a long time and have questioned him and his rotations, thought process etc.

Right now he's making all the right moves. He's calling timeouts when they need to be (like when it got down to only being up 7, etc), and learning to leave players in who are better in that moment or situation (I.E. Ed Davis last night and also with the Lakers). Props to him for keeping Davis in and realizing the amazing value those extra possessions got us. (At least 8-10 points in the second half, which were the difference to separate us during the run)

I really hope Nurk do what he did in DEN, I wouldnt tolerate that shit from that piece of shit Terry Stotts

then you play Ed Davis all you want you fucking cunt

Playing Ed won the game. You're more of a Nurk fan than a Blazers fan.

I like Nurk and I think he's gonna be great, but if my TEAM needs to ultimately TRADE HIS ASS to get better then I wouldn't bat an eye.

Because I'm a fan of the Blazers first...

although I dont show it on this board, Im one of his biggest critics... Im not saying these things cause hes Bosnian, but cause I feel it that way

Then just maybe, on the board, you could show a little objectivity when it comes to the growth Nurk needs in various areas?

Because I GUARANTEE you, you'll NEVER see Ed Davis flop.

Mt. Robot is Jusuf's C3PO - he is his slightly confused but very likable secondary guardian robot. Luckily, it seems that Jusuf knows what is what - and taking advice from his R2D2 - he is not sulking or upset.

Props to our players for upping their game after the all star break. Eight straight wins. Way to kick ass, guys!

I never complained about Nurkics mpg, I complain about things like this... I know Ed Davis is having a great year and he deserves recognition, but when the coach prefers Ed Davis to Nurk in certain situations with no reason at all, sorry but I cant go past that... like I said, I found it disrespecting to Nurk

Nurk can cheer with the guys on the bench etc, but Im sure hes not happy when he sits the entire 4th quarter just cause coach prefers some other player... THERE WAS NO REASON TO SIT HIM THE ENTIRE 4TH QUARTER, NO REASON WHATSOEVER!

Obviously, Stotts thinks there is. :dunno: And maybe it's just keeping his counting stats low for contract purposes later. Maybe it's b/c Nurk is so gassed from playing his butt off in the first 3 quarters on both sides of the floor that he wouldn't be very effective.
Maybe it's because he shoots 2% lower than his average (and 5% lower than his best quarters, the 1st and 3rd) in the 4th quarter, when possessions are at a premium.
Maybe it's because during "Lillard Time" in the 4th, we need more D-and-rebounding than players who need a few touches to stay focused.
Maybe the matchups have just favored having faster guys on the floor.

Either way, it seems to be working for now. :dunno:

NO!

I like floppers, but Nurk doesnt flop, he just sells contact so well

Dude, I've refereed basketball at a high level for 16 years.

I've refereed NBA champions.

There is no such thing as "selling contact".

That's just a nice way of saying flop.

Yeah, but you guys are all corrupt/blind/too busy blowing stars to actually see the game, amirite?

hes not gassed, Stotts said both times (when Ed Davis played entire 4th quarter) that he was going to put Nurk back in, but instead decided not to... if you need D, then you need Nurk cause hes your best defender and he anchors the D and his rebounding was great last night, 11 reb after 3/4... its not the matchup, Stotts said he went with different lineup last time against GSW

well, put it however you want, but to me theres difference between flopping and selling contact

I call this a flop and Nurk doesnt do any of it

I tend to agree. There's a difference between pretending contact existed where it didn't, and choosing not to resist the natural effect of contact that did actually happen and legitimately should be a foul. Why should Nurkic be penalized for being strong enough to hold up against actions which, if performed against another player, would easily meet the "to and through" criteria? Should opposing players be allowed to slam significantly harder into certain defenders just because they're bigger?

nope, thats what you think

what he did to Nurk was disrespecting... if two of your players are playing well, why would you prefer a backup C to a starting C, cause you know, starting players are starters for a reason, theyre better players than backups... Nurk wasnt gassed, wasnt injured, wasnt dominated by GSW players, didnt play bad, so If Im Nurkic, I sure wouldnt be happy, cause its not the first nor will be the last time he did it

whats your point, if Dame and Shabazz are both playing well, we should keep Shabazz in, I dont get it... cause its really the same thing... yes Dame is much, much better player, its not even comparable, but if Shabazz is having as good game as Dame, I guess youd have no problem with Dame sitting the rest of the game, yeah right

Nurk was having a good game, 10/11 after 3rd quarter and despite Ed Davis having a good game too, you should put you starting C back in... thats how it works, its a fact, not biased opion by some bosnian poster who is apparently Nurkic fan and not a POR fan

Situations and matchups are fluid. Nurk is our best option against 7-footers lie Pachulia (their normal starter) and McGee (their starter last night). However, when they go with a smaller 5 like Looney, or even those lineups where Draymond plays the 5, a smaller, quicker, more "high-energy" 5 like Ed makes a lot of sense. That was the case in the 4th last night.

Honestly, I think Kerr hoped that going with a matchup not favorable to Nurkic would keep him off the floor to GSW's benefit. He was right on the first count, just not on the second.

in Bosnia theres saying: "Its easy to be a general after the battle", that what your comment "Playing Ed won the game. " sounds

could you know for a fact playing Ed Davis would win us a game, of course not, neither could Stotts... could I know playing Nurk would win us a game, of course not and thats what Im saying, they were both playing well and naturally you should put your starting C back in... if Ed Davis was playing better than Nurk, I wouldnt say a word, but he didnt and Stotts just opted for him

whats is Stotts logic, if Ed Davis plays well 4th quarter, hell leave him on the floor no matter how Nurk played... I guess if Nurkic wants to play in 4th quarter, he should start the damn quarter and if he plays well, hell play the entire quarter

@dviss1 has got you pegged. You are a Nurk fan first, then Blazers (maybe). :devilwink:

OMG just chill the fuck up. WE ARE WINNING. I don't care who's playing while we're on the run.
yeah, it doesnt matter who plays when were winning, but when we start losing, then it will matter... thats not how it works

Come on guys...when has questioning someone's fandom ever gone well?
I dont mind it really, I dont care what other people say, not even my mother...

Im just saying, I joke here a lot, especially when it comes to Nurk, but the fact is Im one of his biggest critics (not on this forum)... if you want, I can copy here what Im writing at some other places when hes having a bad game... just so you would know the truth

but when something is wrong, its wrong... I dont like it and Ill always say it
