Blazers and Pelicans in 2015-16.

• Portland has defeated New Orleans in two of its three games this season, both of which came at the Moda Center (2-0).

• In the most recent matchup between these teams on Dec. 23, New Orleans hosted and defeated Portland, 115-89, in what was the fi nal game of a five game road trip for the Trail Blazers.

• That win for the Pelicans snapped Portland’s franchise-long seven-game winning streak against New Orleans.

• Portland has won four of its past eight games against the Pelicans in New Orleans.

• With a win, the Trail Blazers will win their third consecutive season series over the Pelicans.

• In his most recent game against the Pelicans on Dec. 14, Damian Lillard’s 30 points (8-16 FG) is his highest point total in 12 career games against the Pelicans. Lillard (left foot plantar fasciitis) did not play at NOP on Dec. 23.

Glad we played DameCJ 40 and 39 minutes in a game we never had a chance of winning basically the entire second half.

Now we get the second of 3 road games in 4 nights.

If Fraizer goes for 20+ points....

He still wouldn't be good enough for this team.

It's actually good Stotts did that he probably knows the playoffs are pointless and wants the asset

You don't understand basic things, do you? You have a hard time understanding that a coach wouldn't put his millons-of-dollars/yr job on the line with that kind of thinking, right?

Dame and CJ... because its a sustainable relationship... bring on the Alter!!!

Maybe he has the ok from the big bosses

Think smart guy

LOL no. No he doesn't.

Think logically, big guy.

How do you know? Atleast I'm going by facts like the FACT their playing tons of minutes on a guaranteed loss when they have a game less than 24 hrs later..

How do you know? The FACT is they played a lot of minutes, the ASSUMPTION is yours.

I mean, I like how you try, but it doesn't work.

I expect a loss here. Holiday has been playing great and doesn't have the minute restriction from the start of the year. He's having his best season ever and would be averaging 21pts 8ast, shooting 48% on 2pt if he'd played normal starters 36mpg. Has many terrible teammates; but that's easily East Allstar quality. Anthony Davis is an MVP talent on any night. The team never really had a chance with so many injuries and major new schemes. The rest of the Hornets have major problems. Outside Davis this is one of the worst rosters in the league there with the 6ers or Nets. If this game is in Portland I give us a big advantage.

But our players are exhausted from heavy minutes and travel the game before. Pelicans have a winning home record. Wouldn't be shocked if we win but if I'm betting sadly would have to pick against us. Hope I'm wrong.

Go Blazers!

We're playing two teams tonight?! :MARIS61:

I'd think Frazier still has to lead us for minutes played in a game this season.

Would be kind of funny to see him torch Lillard.

LMAO, Vonleh vs. Davis. Oh yeah....wonder who's gonna win that match up....

I actually look forward to seeing more of Caveman as he knocks Leonard out of any kind of lineup when he returns.

Lillard vs. Frasier....yeah, give me Lillard any day. I doubt that's even going to be a competition.

But how tired are our guys? That's the real question here.

Vonleh doesn't play the kind of minutes AD does.

....and? What's your point? Their skill levels are miles apart; never mind how many minutes Vonleh plays. That was my point.

Not a bad start. Gotta clean up those turn-overs. That's not acceptable.

Good start..Frazier didn't crack the starting lineup I notice

It's not fair to say AD will outplay Vonleh when they're not playing the same minutes. The better question is how will Vonleh/Davis/Kaman/Plumlee do during their frontcourt as a whole.

Hey look, we're not getting shafted by the whistles tonight (so far).

for all of you that don't see flashes from Vonleh please watch that bucket again.

Davis vs. Davis. I think Davis will win that matchup
