This will be the last homestand of the season. It'll be 4 games against winnable opponents during the span of a week. This is where the Blazers must make hay if they want homecourt advantage in the Playoffs.

Up first on this homestand will be the Pacers. It'll be a battle of the 4th. Both Indiana and Portland are the 4th place team in their respective Conferences.

The injury to CJ hurts the Blazers (and probably hurt CJ even more). At this point, it remains to be seen how serious the injury is, nor how long he'll be out.

Let's hope for the very best. And win some games here!

I think Hood will start and he’ll have his minutes staggered so he’s also on the second unit. Layman will see a bump in minutes and hopefully we can get him more plays because they’ve completely abandoned running off ball stuff for him recently.

Pacers are no joke with or without Oladipo, hope Nurk can get their two bigs Turner and Sabonis in foul trouble. This is a home game and we need this one so Go Blazers!

I think the Pacers will be a tough out tomorrow night, and that was going to be true with a healthy CJ. Without him Portland will really need to move the ball around and maintain the motion in their offense. Dame will need good shot selection too

My second choice was Evan Turner.

I saw something about CJ being out a week and maybe a little more. Dodged a bullet.

he'll be "re-evaluated" in a week but I'm not sure what exactly that means. Maybe a week of easy therapy then another MRI to check healing rate and inflammation?

I'd think he'll be out longer than just a week or so. Blazers take off on a road trip 8 days from now. It's a 4 game road trip with 4 games in 6 nights including a B2B. Even is he recovers well, I'd be kind of surprised if he plays on that road trip. There are 5 games left after that trip. That seems like a reasonable target since the first of those final 5 games is only 2 weeks away

but maybe he's a quick healer

Simons might actually get a look at some court time if Curry isn't on his game

Personally I think Layman would be a good fit. I like having the experience of Hood on the second team with ET, Kanter, and Curry. Dame is such a good passer that I think he would put Jake in a number of quality scoring situations. No matter who it is, GO BLAZERS!!

It took me no less than 2 weeks to get back from that injury. I'm thinking you are probably right.

I bet Turner starts.
He could but Stotts has a track record of not messing with his rotation when not needed and plugging in a player that fits the spot. I guess in either case that might be true? Turner/Hood/Curry. Against Mathews they will need more size than Curry.

I think it will be Hood starting and the 2nd unit will curry Turner Kanter Layman Zach.
Hey Lamphaer, I’m trying to get rid of my older Audi A6 and move up to a late model A7 right now. You have any connection with that? I test drove this exact car last week and loved it. Was wondering with your history in the car industry, you might give TPFKATHCP the hook up.

So blame you if Portland loses?
Or
If Portland wins we can blame the CJ injury on you as well as the recent losses to SA, OKC, MEM.
Happy birthday!

So who's ready for the slow start and playing down to their level?
