• Sunday marks the second of three regular season matchups between the Trail Blazers and Mavericks in 2015-16. It’s the only game scheduled at the American Airlines Center.

• Dallas defeated Portland, 115-112, earlier this season at the Moda Center on Dec. 1. In that game, Deron Williams scored a game-high 30 points on 11-of-17 shooting.

• The Mavericks have won eight of their past 10 home games against the Trail Blazers (three straight).

• The Trail Blazers last won a season series against the Mavericks in 2009-10, when they were victorious in three of four games.

• Dallas has won two straight games over Portland, marking the first time that either team has won consecutive games in this series since the Mavericks did so in 2012-13.

• Damian Lillard scored a team-high 25 points (10-24 FG) against Dallas on Dec. 1 and dished out 10 assists for his second double-double in 12 career games vs. the Mavericks.

• Damian Lillard has scored 20+ points two other times against Dallas prior to this season. He has logged 14 points in his following game against the Mavericks in each of those instances.

• Ed Davis logged 10 points (4-4 FG) and 11 rebounds (five offensive) against Dallas on Dec. 1, marking his fourth consecutive game against the Mavericks with at least 10 points. Davis has two double-doubles during that four-game stretch.

• Trail Blazers forward Al-Farouq Aminu averaged 5.6 points and 4.6 rebounds in 74 games with Dallas last season. Aminu averaged 11.2 points and 7.2 rebounds in fi ve postseason games with the Mavericks.

• Dallas guard Wesley Matthews averaged 15.4 points on 43.8 percent shooting in five seasons with the Trail Blazers from 2010-15. Matthews ranks number one on Portland’s all-time three-point list (826).

HEAD-TO-HEAD HISTORY:
ALL TIME: Trail Blazers lead, 77-67
IN PORTLAND: Trail Blazers lead, 49-22
AT THE MAVERICKS: Mavericks lead, 45-28

I enjoy watching Dirk. Something admirable about an old guy who's lost all athleticism but so skilled and smart he can limp around and change the game. Similar to Duncan I suppose. Hope Wes gets well. Wes is still my favorite Blazer. It's ridiculous when some Blazer fans badmouth him or blame him for anything.

Big couple of games here as we could win the series and solidify our playoff spot. The Mavs have a brutal schedule and are probably the most likely to miss the playoffs.

Go Blazers!

I only have one request: PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE

please…PLEASE!!…I MEAN PLEASE…do not force me to watch Dame get switched onto Dirk in the post over-and-over with the game on the line.

I’ve been pretty patient with this team, but somebody better fix that problem.

Thank you

I'm going to say that Felton is playing better than I've ever seen him play and Lamarcus is just now getting his game back to his old level but I don't like either guy at all so I too couldn't answer the poll question. If I had to pick one, it'd be Lamarcus because he strung us along like the ugly girl at closing time

oxymoron if I've ever read one. what would be interesting would be for you to actually start off a game with something good to say about the team

Wow, I didn't know they were starting Felton in the backcourt with Deron Williams. Dame and CJ should feast on those guys. Talk about not aging well, Deron's career went downhill fast after he got Sloan ousted from Utah. What a joke that was.

How does Dallas not have the worst defense in the league? Nowitski at center? Washed up CV starting at PF? They must be tremendously well coached because their roster looks like Dirk & shit to me. Of course, many feel the same way about the Blazers.

I think Plumlee is a good type of center to guard Dirk, he can cover him on the perimeter.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Wes again.

As for Felton and Aldridge.....ugh, what a hell of a question. Probably.....Felton. I really, REALLY don't like LaBitch. And I never had any beef with Felton other than the fact that I always thought he was a douche, and just not very good.

We are on fire from 3 so far.

Wes must be so slow right now with a tweaked knee and ankle. I'd like to see him try to check Harkless.

Maybe it is just because it is an early game, but the crowd seems thin and quiet.

Henderson needs to just take Matthews to the rim

Blazers committing boneheaded fouls. Now Dallas gets to shoot FTs the rest of the 8 minutes left in the quarter.

Refs seem to be whilstle happy, attack the paint everytime!
