Wtf? We Don't have to be Friends but Stop with that bullshit

The only bullshit is someone hiding by pressing the wussy button when he can't back up what he is saying. Do you think that picture you posted would actually scare anyone?

FAMS......how is this floating on here and not have it’s own thread? This looks like a Target add from the early 90s! If there was a pic of THE HCP wearing Jorts, this place would burn to the ground! HA!!!!! Hold on, I’m gonna go find a pic of me in jorts!

You didn't explain anything, you are using one bad game in which Dame had one of the worst shooting games of his career as your only example as to why he doesn't know what to do against switches and hard hedges. Once again you are taking your ball and going home instead of actually backing up your stupid idea that Dame sucks against small ball teams.

Spring Break 1991 Seaside! I wore the HELL out of some jorts FAMS! Damn I’m getting old! Polo jacket, Nike Lunar boots and jorts! I was a stylin’ motherfucker!

I've gotta give you credit, your photoshop skills have gotten really good. In those pics it actually looks like girls were there with you on that trip.

IMO this game is a positive for the Blazers.

Yes, Aminu and Harkless shot way over their heads. But CJ and Dame shot way under. Overall we shot 39% from three, slightly better than we can expect. On the flip side, Houston shot 53% from three. Well over their heads.

CJ and Dame's shooting was just variance. You can't do anything about that. That's not what cost us the game. We lost because:
a) We committed about 3 to 4 times as many "bonehead" plays as we did in recent games.
b) We misdefended Harden.

The right way to defend Harden is the way Wes Mathews defended him when we beat the Rockets in the playoffs. He stayed between Harden and the basket. Period. That means backing off as much as you need to, to stay between him and the basket. Stay as close as you can to defend the three without allowing him to blow past you. A Harden 3 is a not shot you'd like to give up, but it's better than two 87% free throws or a kick-out to a wide open 3 pointer, or an easy layup, or an "and one".

IMO Blazers played ridiculous defense on Harden, guarding him super-tight well beyond the three point line. Harden broke that down again and again, beating his man with an open path to the hoop. I don't know why we did that.

That's not what happened. We guarded him close and he hit two step back threes that beat us. Harden is better than Wes guarded him 2014. The stepback three, when on, makes Harden unguardable.

Not tonight. Hard on is poopin' his pants versus Detroit. Figures. And they weren't UP for PDX. Yah righttttt.

He's extremely hard to guard, but he's not unguardable. He may be better than in 2014 but that's still the correct way to guard him.

1. He's a 37% three point shooter. But in 2017 he added a whopping 14% to that efficiency by fooling defenders into fouling him 16.7% of the time on 3's. That is in contrast to the meager 1.6% league average. That's down to about 9% in 2018 due to rule changes, but he still gets fouled on threes at twice the rate of Damian who is 2nd in the NBA. First key is never foul him on the 3 pointer.

2. His drive is also deadly. He can drive and finish, drive and get fouled (and finish), or kick to an open 3-point shooter. Blazers gave him 15 free throws. 86% x 2 is way more than 37% x 3.

Good defense tries to minimize and equalize both of these threats. You don't over-defend one and leave the other wide open.

This is an awesome stat. May I ask where you got it from?

You're right, Dame has never had a good game against a really good team. Go watch the game against the Warriors where he scored 50 points. He scored 39 against the Spurs last year.

Just this year:
36 and 13 against OKC
44 and 8 versus GS
32 and 10 @ Toronto
33, 10, and 8 @ Utah

Should I continue or will you please STFU?
Like i said back in march, Lillard looks helpless when he get's double teammed against small Ball Teams with good Defenders, you did not belive it, now you saw it against Jrue Holiday
