Nurk was definitely the reason for the loss - should've been a huge advantage and was not.

If that is true, that has to be on our training staff. There has been plenty of time for him to get in top-notch shape. He's just terrible on the 2nd of back to backs. Just completely gassed.

Yeah, i think we are pretty alone here with that take. It’s mind blowing to me just to even think that the Blazers have a chance against the Clippers, like you said it would be worse than what the fucking Pelicans did to us. When we play the Clippers, i can already see the double teams coming at Dame at half court, and how unprepared and how clueless the Players and that Motherfucker Stotts will be. Not to mention that nobody is gonna stop Kawhi on the other end. It will be a disaster on National TV againBeen saying the same thing. That Phx loss was gigantically bad. Clippers will destroy us worse than the pelicans did. But I guess the good thing is major changes will come after
You forgot one thing, if Dallas goes 1:1 and we beat Denver, then we have a 3 way tie, assuming the Lakers win both against Indiana and Pelicans, two sub 500 teams, they wont lose these games, that's not gonna happen or at least very very unlikely. A Dallas loss changes nothing as long as the Lakers go 2:0For everyone saying lose to the Nuggets on purpose, I disagree and it has nothing to do with a potential matchup with the Clippers.
The way the schedule was set up for the final day of the season, Dallas will also be playing at that time. Now, I know they are playing the Wolves, but it is in Minnesota and, at last check, the Wolves are actually trying to play competitive basketball unlike these other bottom-feeders.
Hope Dallas stumbles against Toronto or Minnesota, Lord knows they love losing to sub-.500 teams, and take care of business against the Nuggets. There's still a chance to draw Denver in Round 1 and that's the avenue I would explore first.
But aren't we better off in the play in games?Seriously. We have tiebreakers over both teams.
The team we saw tonight isn’t losing two play-in games.

this team has to win against the nuggets and then pray to god that wolves or raptors beat the mavs
if not, theyre gonna get fucked so hard by the la clippers in the 1st round
do you think blazers can beat la clippers (theres small chance blazers still get that 5th seed)Needs this win bad. Don't want a Play-In game.
If the Blazers aren't good enough to beat the Clippers, why would it matter if they lose to them in the first round, second round, or conference finals? Y'all hoping the Lakers or Suns will knock them off before we have to see them?
This is a very valid take. Makes as much sense as any I have read. Only one thing that I could think that might apply is having the Clippers play a different team first and have them deal with a bit more fatigue. If they get into a dog fight series that runs 6-7 games and the Blazers get by someone in 5 then maybe rest comes into play?If the Blazers aren't good enough to beat the Clippers, why would it matter if they lose to them in the first round, second round, or conference finals? Not sure Dame would agree with you and its not because "what would you expect him to say" either. Dame's wiring is go compete till the end and give yourself a chance.exactly....if the Blazers have no chance against the Clippers, and most here believe that's the case (with good reason); then Portland is once again a pretender, not a contender
it's far better, IMO, if that is exposed early in the playoffs rather than the Blazers possibly getting a series win against another pretender that masks the real level of the team, while making it easier to excuse the failures of roster-building and coaching
And this is essentially the other side of the point that I was making. If they're not contenders, we'll know quickly. But if they are indeed able to clear that first-round hurdle, then their chances for a title run will be as good as anyone's.Not sure Dame would agree with you and its not because "what would you expect him to say" either. Dame's wiring is go compete till the end and give yourself a chance.
No body gave the Blazers a chance to beat a loaded Laker team in 76/77. Swept them 4 straight. Their mini series with Chicago was the toughest. Yeah they had Walton but we have Lillard. Give him a chance.
Perfect. If we're good enough, we'll beat whoever we have to face. If not, time to re-shuffle the deck.
Well, by that means, I’ll share some facts:It is nothing but facts besides the word "Easily".
We would need the Lakers to lose one too. Stupid 3way tie breaker.this team has to win against the nuggets and then pray to god that wolves or raptors beat the mavs
if not, theyre gonna get fucked so hard by the la clippers in the 1st round
All for this. This is what I have wanted this past 2 weeks.People are saying to lose to the Nuggets to go into the play in. Logic from them is that if you can win one game against the Warriors you can get the Suns instead of winning and getting the Clippers.
Agree or disagree?

no, seems some are advocating they should just give up and lose against Denver in order to avoid the the Clippers. I say he welcomes a series against anyone and doesn't view any team as a pretender. Dames job is to not be concern about advantages to lose early so they can rebuild , he'd shake his head at that big time. His whole career has been built around overcoming odds and not listening to noise.well...I don't know how that's directly responsive to what I posted. Are you saying that Dame wants to dodge away from a series with the Clippers?
