Y'all do understand that they have very few games to play together before the playoffs?
Y'all do understand it really doesn't matter if he turns and ankle. Probably doesn't matter if he doesn't. Even more so what happens if he blows out a knee?

On the one hand I understand the mindset of not playing him needlessly, it's just as true that he could turn an ankle at tip off.

Simon's has skills, should get some chances with team short handed.

Just what they needed. I don't care if Chicago is shitty. TjeT are still an NBA team. Easy win helps team get confidence back.

Are they though? They look more like a G league teams G league team. Robin Lopez is basically Joel embiid compared to the rest of the guys that played.

Well does it matter they did what they was supposed to dominate the game.

It does indeed matter. A Varsity High School team would give Chicago a run for its money, lol. I'd be more impressed if we won tonight against a top-seeded West team.

There is always that chance yes. But 25 point lead with 6 mins left in the 3rd is time to get him out of there.

Can Simons or Trent please take Turners minutes? I’m sure if you gave them the ball they could also dribble it past half court and launch an alley oop into the premier club.

What's the FA situation of Curry and Rodney? Didn't Curry sign for 2 years?

both players will be non-bird free agents, as will Kanter

Portland could re-sign them for 120% of their current salary....or use an exception, either the tax-MLE or the full-MLE

Portland could pay Curry 3.35M and Hood 4.17M using the non-Bird exception. The tax-MLE will be around 5.3M and the full-MLE would be around 9M, IIRC. But using the full-MLE would hard cap Portland at the apron and further restrict their limited flexibility

Blazers will only have around 6M in space under the tax line for 10 guaranteed contracts, and that would drop to around 4M if they use their 1st round pick. Aminu, Hood, Curry, Kanter, and Layman will all be free agents and Layman is the only RFA. Portland will be more squeezed then ever this summer by that foolish 2016 spending spree. Unless they can dump one of Turner or Meyers, the Blazers are in a vice unless Jody Allen ok's a massive tax bill

I think Curry's going to get an offer the Blazers can't afford. I think we will keep Hood and oddly enough I think Kanter might stick around here even for less money because of the culture that Dame's built in the locker room, and the culture of the city of Portland, could be completely wrong.

Could the Bulls buy out Rolo, so that we can sign him for the remainder of the season and playoffs?

pretty sure the answer is no. It's past the deadline...can't remember whether it's March 1st or 15th. If a player was on another team past the deadline, he can't be a playoff participant on another team

No.

If you play a game for another team after March 1st you are ineligible for the playoffs for any other team. So if the Bulls cut him tonight and we signed him he could play in the final 8 games but not the playoffs plus we'd have to cut someone off our current roster and add to our tax bill.

I missed the game tonight...completely forgot it was tonight.
