The play that had me spitting in anger was that last play that was drawn up for Dame at the end of the 4th quarter: driving into the paint with no help against Gobert and about 3 other people. Fucking terrible.
 
Our end game and end of half playcalling has been trash for the last 1.5 years. It's always Dame or CJ to create on their own and ends up with a bad look.
 
Dame play 43 minutes. We should win that one, hurts more... cmon dame finish the game. Another game twomorrow...

I love @KingSpeed as a fellow Blazer fan, and I loved his work on Bones and the work he does for Bipolar Disorder. As a person, I have nothing but the upmost respect and admiration for him.

But I'm sorry.....his extreme optimism as a fan borders on insanity: comparing Dame's stats in one game to that of, say, Steph Curry, and thinking that we could be a #1 seed in the playoffs. He tried that shit in the last game thread we had here.

It's ludicrous. And this is why....because now we see what this team REALLY is. And it's REALLY gonna hit home if we lose against the Lakers tomorrow.
 
When you look on the boxscore this game is f terrible. So, after few games we back on our track - Dame takes it on his shoulders.
If this team plays like this I can see Lillard in section "next star to demand a trade".

Don't have time to check it but how long Stotts waited with timeout in sec q, when we went scoreless again? Why he rotates players like he play on PlayStation? He is probably nice guy to talk and drink beers with, but enough is enough.

Where is BadAss Nurk? I can't watch those "easy layups" blocked every time when it matters. Dunk it ffs.

And, I mean, I love CJ, but it seems he let himself swim to much. You're not playing Harlem Globtrotters.

I've got enough of letting the cake bake. For me it's on Stotts for log time now.

Kingspeeds comments, as ridiculous as they may be, aren't personal towards anyone, or about himself. I'm sure you can see the difference.
 
Don't know why everybody is freaking out. We have never had a history of playing well in SLC. Always tough to get the W there.

That's just it.....the team is no worse now then it was a month ago. This is where they should be. Not with home court advantage, not better than Houston or San Antonio or OKC . Hovering around .500 is about right. We will probably blow out the Lakers tomorrow and everybody will have us back in the finals.

Well this whole site is filled with homers.. even the mods.. that’s why they ban posters for their opinions.. they just want to make the homers happy.. me personally I love the Blazers but this Dame/Cj era is not that good.. I’d rather blow it up and worry about the future

We are not that good and Nurkic is overrated

I'm not freaked out by losing to the Jazz. As you said, it's always been a tough place to play. There are some things that do concern me though.

  • The almost abject lack of effort in getting blown out by the Raptors AT HOME when they are missing their starting C and PF.
  • Dame shooting 40% from the field and 35% from '3' eight games into the season.
  • CJ getting 2.6 apg so far compared to 3.6 last year and 4.3 the season before that.
  • Dame and CJ with 18 Turnovers in the last two games.

It is still early and a game against the Lakers should turn things around. But wins/production against teams like that isn't much of an accomplishment. And have mercy if they were to actually lose!
 
I will lose my shit if we lose to Lonzo Fucking Ball and the Lakers tonight. This should be nothing but straight up DOMINATION by Lillard and CJ on Lonzo. Will accept nothing short of that.

There was a year when ET averaged 17/6/4 in Philly.

He needs to shoot more. Especially on nights when CJ is off. Take guys in the post and punish em.
