If this version of CJ is for real I’m not sure it’s worth it if Trent has to be included. I think CJ’s lack of efficiency (TS% still lower than Dame even this year) has been overstated because his turnover rate is ridiculously low.

BPM is a better advanced stat. Correlates with winning significantly better than PER. I’m sure CJ is doing quite well there too.

Melo came in the game. The Blazers were up 10. He scored 6 points in 1:20. The ended that shift with 8 points, 2 assists and 3 rebounds with his defender on the bench with 3 fouls. Melo left the game the Blazers were up 12.

what was that inbounds play there

I have noticed this all season. Inbound plays take practice, communication and coordination. It will be a work in progress for a long time without being able to practice the way they usually do. For years we watched Nic Batum as the inbound passer. Very effective because he was capable of hitting a shot, was a great passer, had length and was smart.
I see Roco becoming that guy and Melo when in. You can see Stotts is working on different looks as each game passes. They just are not there yet.

This is the team I expected. It's just maddening because there doesn't seem like middle ground with this team: If they aren't playing their best, they're playing their worst.

If they can put together two more games in a row similar to these last two ... or even two out of three without falling down a portable hole in the other one ... I think it's fair to start becoming a little optimistic.

Ask anyone who has connections with this organization. Quick is an absolute cancer and needs to be kept as far away from this team as humanly possible.

Difference is the Kings don't travel at all. So on Wednesday expect a better effort out of the Kings.

One gripe I keep coming back to that will come back to bite us in the ass if we dont change it:

Roco has to get more than 6 shots a game. Having him become a legitimate shooting threat will only open up the game for everyone else. Terry has turned him into a glorified Harkless. Even Aminu got more looks.

what is the reasoning behind this? I mean so many say the same, there must be validation to your opinion. Maybe it goes further back and I'm ignorant to how he was prior to me paying attention?
When i listen to him on Suke and Ropp, he seems to have decent takes most of the time.
I thought a few years ago he also used to get tv analysis during the games once in a while?

i noticed that too. I had to check the schedule because I had must set the recording up for the next game as i sat down to watch this one, and it said toronto.
I think they dipped into the koolaid too, but not the right kind...

I think you misunderstood what they said. The were talking about how it was a weird scheduling fluke that had Toronto in the middle of what should have been a B2B.

yes...I've been a frequent critic of CJ when he has deserved criticism. I've also praised him for the things he does well. He's playing great right now for sure. But I think there is reason to doubt he can sustain these numbers

but since you're making an accusation, please point out a couple of posts of mine about CJ and show how they were "hate"
