You don't bench your best player that's foolishness. If he's injured get him some rest and treatment. If he's just in a horrible slump you let him play himself out of it.
Best player with 4 points and the other guy was shooting 50% from 3s was sitting on the bench

Big win, showed some grit but you have to feel for Dame right now. This is a nightmare for him but he'll get it back.
if he is really hirtin do you "really" think he will get it back? I want him to be and get healthy

He will get it back and it's going to be glorious when he does for all this suffering

Dame is so clearly hurt. His last drive, that he missed, was so awkward.

If it's the same thing he's been dealing with over the past 4 seasons... yeah I REALLY think he'll get it back.

but how many more games do they let himself play out of it? He's had shooting slumps, but nothing like this. This is unheard of.

You play him until he's out of it... it's not the end of his career or anything. He didn't forget how to play, he'll see his way out of this and again be one of the best in the game.

Dame will go off tomorrow against the Lakers. Going to be the snap out of it game.

I don’t think anyone is giving up on him. There’s clearly something wrong and most likely it’s the abdomen injury. He can’t get by anyone right now.
Or defend anyone, which I personally think is the bigger problem.

fans can be pretty harsh at times

Dame has played 750 games for the Blazers and many fans are absolutely trashing him for the last 9 games, while ignoring the first 740 games, when he's obviously struggling with his shot. He's even missing layups and dunks now. He's at least running the offense well. 11 assists to 2 turnovers tonight. Last 4 games, 41 assists vs 7 turnovers....nearly a 6.0 assist/turnover ratio

I feel for Dame, and I think he’ll get back, but I also think we shouldn’t try to play him through it. He looks like he needs rest, either mentally, physically, or both.

bobf showed an 11 game shooting slump earlier in Dame's career that was worse than this one

Thing is, they don't need Dame to "go off". They just need him to not shoot so horribly and be a non factor out there. If he was averaging 22 points and shooting 45% and 37%, it'd be one thing. But he's shooting like one of us out there.

Trade Dame for 10 first round picks so he can win a ring. Build around Simons now

after we trade dame for simmons, we ship out nurk+1st for richaun holmes

simmons-cj mccollum-powell-roco-holmes (for the time being)

im still working on scenarios for powell & roco

yeah, Indiana really didn't impress me much. Sabonis and Turner are pretty good, but the rest of the lineup was below average, IMO. Lavert 12 points on 21 shots
Malcolm Brogdon is a huge part of what they do, so tonight wasn't the best representation of who the Pacers are.

Last year you probably trashed simons. Now... 9 games into this year you want to saddle on simons and negate the near decade run of Dame.

I mean, that's just absurd.
He definitely was one of the regulars that trashed Simons.
