Well that sucked. Lillard really seemed out of it after his hand got hurt.
I was really pissed at the refs but now that I think about it even though the Spurs got away with tons of contact everytime we drove to the rim I was pissed at how many layups and shots at the rim we missed.

A town of two million people getting exited about a bantam hockey team is an insult. The difference in play between that and the NHL is farther apart than the MLS and the EPL. We should have had a real hockey team ten years ago.

I'm pretty sure they are above the bantam level... they are a rung below the NHL.

Also, the Hillsboro Hops have won two titles. They are men.And stuff.

You can quantify all you want, but a championship is a championship, bar none.

WHL is more like NCAAF to NFL. Comparing MLS to any euro league soccer is a joke. That's like comparing your states best 1a football team to the Patriots imo

Eh. I consider the women's roller derby win bigger than that. That is impressive. Portland is where sports ideas go to die.

I mean it's definitely different though. The Timbers are in the best league in their sport in this country. Can't say that about the Winterhawks or Hops.

There are some leagues in Europe which are much worse than the MLS. It's like comparing dried turds. But I will always stand up to the anti soccer crowd. It is what it is.

I thought that, too. I understand the Spurs play good defense. I understand they don't like to foul. But they do foul.

One thing I noticed tonight: I always appreciated the Spurs team play. My respect for them made it hard for me to not like them. Seeing LA on that team, now I don't like them.

Thats pretty much how I feel. I really like the Spurs. Seeing LA in a Spurs uniform in the Rose Garden and now I hate them.

I'm not anti soccer it's just hard for me to get into the club soccer, I love international play.

I see we lost but please someone tell me I can sleep well tonight know Aldridge was booed the shit out of the building? Please!?

The crowd booed him good! Every time he touched the ball, he was booed. When he was first announced, he got more boos than cheers.

Well I am a die hard Man City fan and have been for close to a decade but I grew up a Timbers fan as a child. Europeans follow large clubs as well as their local FC's. They see no distinction between the two types of play and neither should we. But Americans have been taught that having a domestic league is shameful by purist dickheads who hate the sport. It's a growing sport and will continue to improve.

As long as it can take over the shittiest sport in the world, american football.

Liverpool fan here.. Klopp will lead us to victory on the 21st!

Well, I can honestly say that I'm over it. It felt weird seeing LA on the Spurs, but after this game I have 0 anger over him. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the boos, but I decided I really don't miss his style of play. He's good, but not great. Not a great teammate. Just another guy in a Spurs uniform from here on out.

I doubt it will ever rival basketball, baseball or football in this country. But it is popular enough with a younger audience that a greater quality of athletes will emerge as coaching gets better. I am more concerned with the amount of quality Academy coaches than popularity right now.

Baseball is a possibility but unlikely
