Not sure what you're talking about. Lee got around one pick and was WIDE OPEN every time. No help by the big man of course as per Stotts' idiotic principles, so Wes has to fight harder. He didn't.

Not only that, but Miller ran circles around him when they were matched up. I thought Wes was supposed to be our best defender.

Roy-iso with significantly less talent got us 54 wins. If Brandon's knee's weren't ticking time bombs, we might not be lamenting the iso offense after a few years of P/O experience.

im so frustrated and sad about this situation.. all my hopes for a great season with conference finals are going down.. hell this team has so amazing potencial we see that in most of the games. but with this losses in the last games and the loss against Lakers at home was very hard for me.. i stand up 4.00 in the morning and look every fuckin blazers game as fan.. my heartbreaks so many times this season with wins on Lillard clutch shots and losses with monta in the last second and George Hill in indiana.. so i hope you can understand me why im so frustrated about this situation.. hell im living in germany do you think that is easy for me waiting all night long for a blazers game ? when they give up so many games the lead by 10-15-20 @ 6.00 in the morning when the game has ended im go to bed with sad psyche. its not funny for me.. so i accept that team cant win every game so this is sport. but not so many games with the situation we have the lead and loss in the last 2 or 3 minutes.. hope you can understand that what im writing.. sorry for my bad english

I just don't understand how Aldirdge has a a considerable size and length advantage over ZBo, yet Aldridge keeps settling for the 18ft fade away jumper.

He should be owning the post with his size and length. Not many guys can match it.

Yet he continually negates that advantage by trying to be the next Dirk

LaMarcus With 8/23 shooting is a joke for me.. this not an allstar this not an MVP.. this is really dumb.. well most of the forum user will critise me for my words but hell yeah you see that shit with your own eyes.. he playing idiotic and dumb..

Damian Lillard was only 8/21. But he also had 12/13 FT's. See that's the thing, LA needs to mix up his jumpshots and fadeaways with enough attacks on the basket to get to the line, that is what an All-Star does.

But this game is on the defense, or lack thereof.

What's more infuriating about LA tonight was he was forcing those hideous attempts with open teammates on the wing, as ZBo was making great reads and finding open shooters. As if the tables have turned. Horrible showing and very frustrating watching this team these days.

Since the team over-achieved big time for the first 30 games of the season, it's not a surprise that they returned to earth the next 30.

Of course, there are about 5 very loud fans who seem to think that 90% of us didn't know this was the case.

This is still about next year and years beyond that. They're ahead of where they should be, and still have a lot to do to fix things. Defense is the 1st (2nd and 3rd ) thing they have to improve on. And getting 1 or 2 more bench players (or improving some of the starters (coughBatumcough) will help too.

Depending on the trades, I'm not against trading LaMarcus. The LaMarcus that showed up for the earlier part of the season is the one I like. But he seems to be only there half the time now.

I am not going to comment on the LA trade for now maybe down the road but I did want to address that as much as I bitch and complain about Batum I do not believe he is the player Portland needs to trade. As much as well all love points I think Stotts system is part of the problem here. His defensive philosophy is solid for the most part press the perimeter and clog the paint leaving just mid range jumpers. The problem is his offense is built around a guy who takes more of those bad shots than anyone else in the league.

When one of your shooters is having an off night you need to find easy baskets. Lillard had to contend with Conley's defense all night and while Conley held him to 38% shooting Lillard won the match up being aggressive and getting 13 FTA's. LA does not have that component to his game he will score 20-25 a game if you give him 20-21 shots and while that looks good on the surface it is not the best for the team.

He needs a little more Blake Griffin in his game, Griffin once a terrible shooter is now converting at a similar clip to LA from mid range but Blake rarely just relies on his jump shot, he aggressively moves without the ball forcing teams to take notice in order to prevent a highlight reel jam. Blake also fights hard for post position often getting deep position to score easy buckets, jams or draw fouls. Sure Blake's style is not sustainable over a 12-15 year career but LA needs to use his god given tools to make the team better, sure he might get a few more bumps and bruises along the way but his attempts at being Dirk are not going to get it done in the playoffs. Either LA needs to bang in the post or shoot the three because like it or not LA and not Batum is the problem with this team right now.

He had his usual 2 or 3 WTF moments tonight. But he also played good position defense on multiple possessions tonight. I thought his defense was much better tonight than Robinson's. ZBo absolutely abused TRob tonight. He went for the head fake every time. Hopefully, he will study the fun and learn from it.
