roy just straight up outplayed chris paul.

In Paul's defense, he had to play late last night in Denver. So fatigue was most likely a factor. But Roy was certainly superb tonight.

Great Win 11-6 with this tough of a schedule is really something.

IIRC, Roy's only other tech came against the Hornets last season.

Brandon Roy played like a superstar tonight.

This is why a 6'7" player with a handle should be more preferred than a 6' player with an unreal handle.

Roy is a rare talent. I can't wait to watch him continue to develop.

I'm glad that Roy got up in West's grill after that flagrant foul. Sh.ows that we aren't soft and the Blazers don't play that.

With Batum playing as good as he is, I'm guessing that trade with Memphis Outlaw & change for Conley might happen. :dunno:

I think you may be right. If Webster plays well.

I thought that Sergio played very good D on Paul in the second half and especially in crunch time.

Sergio also did well. I was specifically commenting on Blake late in the game shutting down a Paul drive.

This team is finding itself.

Believe it.

Roy played great and Sergio played great and when they were in the game at the same time the team played well. But..........It was like whoever initiated the offense the other one just stood around and was not involved. Especially Brandon. He never moved from the top of the key. Maybe this is by design, but I agree with one of our posters who keeps saying he needs to cut to the basket. Sergio will find him.

But you can't argue with their success tonight. Great win

Who is Webster? The pressure is on Martell right now.

Nate must be tormented over whether to start him at this point.

Webster has a sweet stroke to his shot, I'm thinking that Webster is going to be fine when he finally comes back. I'm hoping that he takes his time and doesn't push himself so much that he ends up hurting himself again. I mean after all, Portland is playing fine without him, adding him only makes Portland better, but I think his return is a sign that someone is on their way out. Call it a hunch.

Evenyually I would cut Fryes minutes and move Travis back to the 4. Depending on the match ups of course.

My guess is that Martell will not start as soon as he is able to play in games. He will probably come off the bench and if he earns his starting spot back he will be the best for that purpose. It will probably be who plays best in any given game.

I'd agree except for the fact that KP gave Martell a new contract. This tells me that Batum has exceeded KP's expectations.

The Batum/Webster battle would be fun to see in practice. That is the only rotation spot that is up for grabs right now.

At this point, trading Webster for Conley and filler makes more sense.

Why disrupt the team right now?

One might argue that with KP signing Martell to a modest contract he is more a valued trade commodity than say a Travis Outlaw. I think that you're right, Batum is off the charts even for KP IMO, the kid is playing awesome.

I believe at this point I would rather lose Webster than Sergio. I hope that Sergio is not included.
