They're going to want revenge for that shellacking.

You have to admit chances of 3 seed go down if we lose both games.

The chances of a 3 seed is going to be rough no matter how you look at it. 10 of our next 14 games are on the road 8 of them are against opponents in the playoff picture and our only "easy" home game should be against the bucks.
I'm really worried that by the time we get into the east coast road trip, which is a 4 in 5 nights road trip, the team is just going to look absolutely exhausted and we go 1-4.
If we can finish the month at 8-6 , or 7-7 it shouldn't knock us out of HC but it'll make mean we have to pretty much win our next 7 games since I think 53-55 wins will secure HC.
Even if we finish the month really bad at 5-9 I doubt we fall farther then 6th, we have a huge lead on the teams behind us and they would have to have almost perfect rest of the months to really make us sweat.

They probably also did not want to lose to Denver, but did. The Mavs are an inferior team at this point - we need to make them look like it tonight.

Are you talking about the beatdown Denver put on them? If so, I agree. Dallas will be agressive and sharp tonight.

I'm worried we'll take them lightly. The last time we put a beatdown on a team, we took them way too lightly.

Games against the people you are jostling for seeds with are important. If we had won last 2 games vs OKC, we'd be in battle for one seed. Sunday's game matters. It's the one game where we have control over Houston losing.

Well, that's obvious... since it's against houston. lol.

We definitely didn't take the Lakers seriously. I don't remember if we've blown them out this year.

Nah. We were blowing them out twice during the game, but it ended up being close.

Exactly, that's why Sunday's game is so huge. Lose the game and we don't control our own destiny. Beat Houston and win two of the other games on the trip and we're in great shape. Lose 3 or more including loss to Houston, we fall into a battle for 5 or 6 seed instead of 2 or 3 seed. When you wait to look at standings in APril, what do you want the standings to look like? That's decided now. If we lose these next two, is our season over? No. But our chance of 3 seed or higher is LIKELY gone.

Woot, I'm excited for this game. Today went by slow but 5:30 game always helps. Dallas is usually a good game too.

Go Zers! Let's crush em.

By the way, if we lose this game, we will fall out of HCA for the first time since the 3rd week of the season.

No it's not.

I'll wait for the standings. No need to try to freak out about something two weeks from now when all you have is today's game.

So if we win..... it's smooth sailing to the Finals right?

Of course. But if we lose, it's only a 6 seed, all the other games have been played out. :MARIS61:

btw, HCP, glad to see you posting while on the job. :ghoti:

No. But if we lose and then lose to Rockets and another team, on this trip, we'll fall out of the top seeds with not much time to get back in it. Dallas is important because it's first game of trip. Houston game is important because it determines season series.

Just focus on this game... standings and scoreboard watching is for the media to try to hype people...

Earache gone, finally! Now I can listen on headphones again!

hahahahaha

Do you honestly believe the things you post?
YES.
