I'll file this one away under the category of even the most butt-ugly win in a season is better than a loss.

Although I'd rather the team have won both games, I'd rather the Blazers lost last night and won tonight then the reverse.

No doubt. I wanna stick it to the cocky Thunder. We'll have a chance at it in about 4 days :rocky:

Pops is a terrific coach. He gamed us so well at halftime, and it almost won them the game. Eventually our talent wore them down, however.

Tonight's game is the reason I want nothing to do with SA come the playoffs. They ugly up the game and it's tough to match that intensity for four wins.

First off, I have to say the Spurs used a brilliant strategy to pump themselves up while rendering the game psychologically innocuous. If they lose 4 in a row, people start freaking out, but if they lose their 4th in a row with most of their starters out, it doesn't hardly count. And if they win, great! They caught us on the second night of a back to back, and Pops knew he could steal one if his guys played their best. That plan damn near worked, but it was win/win for him anyway.

Secondly, Batum is growing up before our eyes. I dunno if Wallace has been a good influence or he's just maturing or what, but Nicolas has been taking on some pressure situations and coming through with daggers. Love to see that aggressiveness. 13 boards tonight!

Thirdly, Wallace is man. That is all.

Amen.

SA may have lost, but Pops did a great job tonight. Any win over a Pops team is worth taking pride in.

?

Not sure what Roy being on the court has to do with Aldridge not making strong moves towards the basket.

Care to explain?

Aldridge is actually an extraterrestrial orphan sent by his father from the planet Kroypton to kick ass in the NBA. He usually has amazing basketball superpowers unmatched by ordinary Earthlings, but he loses them in the presence of Brandon, who was struck in both knees by tiny meteorites from Kroypton as a child.

Obviously.

How about Brandon playing in spite of a fucked up back! He played well. Nic straight brought it on the boards tonight!!

A win is a win....... proud of my boys!

He did? The guys on Talking Ball were killing him for his 5 TO's. 5-7 and 11 Points ain't bad though.

The people on talking ball are fucking clowns! I personally have turned down 2 offers to appear!

So Sean Elliott is a clown also because during the broadcast he mentioned how Brandon was hurting the team? Elliott seems to be a guy that would know his stuff, no?

As I have said about 100 times in the last 3 years, Brandon is not a PG. The first half he did a great job of finding open teammates. But he is still not a PG that should be bringing the ball up court. IMO Nate is playing him there for two reasons:Patty struggled for a few games and he is nervous about relying on him in the playoffs, and secondly he is trying to find minutes for Rudy.

Bottom line is with everyone healthy, minutes for both Brandon and Rudy are not there as the back up SG. So one of them either has to sit or play SF. But not PG. And Brandon is simply better than Rudy.

The no-PG experiment will not work in the playoffs so we might as well suck it up now, accept that Mills will play 8 minutes a game and get the rotation set.

Is that a serious question? Sean Elliott is the biggest clown out there. He makes Rice look like Switzerland. I cringe when I find out I have to listen to him for a whole game. He can watch a replay 5 times and still not admit he was wrong. Ok he admitted it once last night.

Roy at PG hurts the team. Roy at SG helps the team. MM you seem to be selective with Sean's quotes. I muted him in the second half, but he complemented Brandon in the first half. The dude is still a clown though.

Come on, tell the truth, you ask to be on the show twice and was turned down both times.

I wasn't sure what the heck Roy's problem was last night bringing the ball up, and playing PG; it was like he was loosing his handles, or getting picked. also there were some atrocious reads in the passing game.
Roy doesn't appear to be 100% healthy; and he seems hesitant on driving to the hole. Kind of scary since that is where he made his bread and butter the last couple of years... :(

I am selective only in that when he talks basketball....X's and O's, he probably knows what the hell he is talking about. Listening to him question every single call against the Spurs last night was rough though. He is a big time homer, but then again so are the Mike's
