Ya, RoLo did not look good defending him. The whole team started out flat and cold and sloppy and lazy... and kept playing that for 2 full quarters. lol

This loss should piss them off, especially the way they came back in the 2nd half, out scoring Minn 35-29 in the 3rd and 31-22 in the 4th.
Damian Lillard will be pissed.

Would Pop have asked his tired (4 games in a 5 night road trip) guys to try to come back from that deficit, or would he have used it as a teaching opportunity to groom his bench players? Injuries happen when guys are tired. We had 4 starters with 39-42 minutes. For what? Riding our horses that hard in the second half made no sense.

Man... if there was ANYONE else hitting tonight, it would have been a better game. Nic was cold, LA was cold, Wes was cold. Not a good combo. Lillard seems to have his best games when everyone else is flat because he steps up his game to try to make up for the others.

Sucks losing to the Wolves although the starters made it look more respectable at the end, it was the ugliest 1st half of ball this season. Lillard is making a statement with his end game fearlessness out there. We'll get them in Portland next time! Go Blazers!

Love... I can't talk badly about him. He said nothing but good things to say about us. I just hate his fans

Game 2: Minn will play @GS the night before they play @Port (Blazers will have had 2 days rest)

Game 3: Minn will play @NO the night before they play Port at home (Blazer will play Indy the night before)

Game 4: Minn will play @Utah the night before they play @Portland (Blazers will have a day off)

Schedules matter. Definitely played a role tonight. Get home boys!

I hear ya, but the team has two days off until the next game and then 4 game until their next game after that, but I hear ya.

I would have played the 3rd string for the whole second half after watching the first half but I guess that's why I get so many coaching offers from the NBA..gotta admit, I feel better after they closed the gap.

Queue all the negative nancy threads after a 3-1 road trip where we played 3 playoff teams in 5 nights, while destroying the non-playoff team

And I'll admit that there is always a psychological component to sports. In this case, the big comeback tells the team to never quit.

Not sure I'm following the logic here...

If a player gets traded during a game you can't play him for the rest of the game right? Playing Robinson only 4 minutes makes zero sense. I just don't understand this. I mean is he really that bad of a player? I don't think so.

Rubio is not a starting NBA pg.

He is too big of a liability scoring the ball and can't stay in front of guards with a decent first-step.

Not much difference between him and Sergio.

One thing I don't get is how this Blazer defense gives up so much penetration sometimes. If you're getting pounded so badly inside, why not try backing up and making them shoot...see if they are cold from outside.

again, you really need to learn what the whole salary cap thing is about. If the Blazers made the trade for Asik, it'd be more than Robinson who wouldn't play.

But, barring the Blazers including a 3rd team, it is IMPOSSIBLE to trade Robinson to the Rockets.

Why?

No reacquiring clause.

The real brutal part of our schedule is in January, we play 4 games in five nights, @SA, @Dallas, @Hou, @Okc. Holy fuck!

The +/- numbers between benches are crazy.

Min:
+24, +23, +21, +11

Por:
-25, -22, -15, -14, (+6 Leonard in spot minutes)

That is insane. It's that type of performance that needs addressing if Portland is to be a real contender. It will wear the starters out.

:matrix:

You know you're good when you have a shitty game and still drop 15 points, 14 boards, 3 assists and 1 steal

What does Santa have to do with trading Robinson for Asik?

I'm glad you asked. Santa stands a better chance at being traded to Houston for Asik, than Robinson does.

And someone said Nico had a bad shooting game. He was 7-15, 3-8 from three, 3-3 from the line, for 20 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. I'll take that from our glue guy.
