Win or lose, one game isn't a big deal anyways. Just tip your hat and move on. No point brooding over a loss.

I suspect Stotts will give it one last shot in the third. If the deficit is still above 15 by the start of the 4th he'll probably just call it a night. The guys are gassed, 4 games in 5 nights. They're only human.

wife has the girls over for a Xmas party last night, I got a shitload of booze and food, I can chill during a stinker game - these guys have played great since the season began, they can have a bad night, lets the young guys loose

I agree. They are a good announcing team. I wasn't one of the ones talking shit about the Wolves before the game, because I know that games like this can happen. I do still think that the Blazers are a better team than the Wolves this year. Your team is just tearing us up. It happens. Congrats so far. I look forward to the rematch!

Largely, yes. That, and no defense in the paint.
They're calling soft fouls on MIN's end. MIN is actually attacking the hoop and taking advantage. Us? Not so much. Lillard is doing his usual "try to draw contact, try to out-hang the defender, throw up garbage". We need someone making strong moves around the basket to force the refs to give us what they're giving MIN - jumpers and weak lay-up attempts by Lillard aren't going to do it. Post LMA. Post Wes. Post Nic. Lopez hitting weak-side boards. Send cutters when Wes or Nic are posting. Lillard should pass the ball into the post, rotate to a corner and wait for the ball to swing.

Those numbers are impressive, very impressive. That's all I'm pointing out. Iirc, no PF/C ever put up those kind of numbers on LA in his eight years.

Sorry man, but this is all effort. We're flat footed. We're not bringing any effort tonight. We're making bad decisions. To make matters worse, we can't eve play our bench because of how badly they're playing.
 
Well this is one of those games that every team has each year. We can expect the best of each team on every night now no matter how tired we are if we can't get it up for a game we are going to get blown out. I think we have had a few to many come back games and an ass beating lets us know we can't coast through quarters an expect to win.
 
Yeah, I'm not in "Game Over" mode yet. We crush teams by about 10pts per game in the 3rd quarter.

Are you saying if it's a 15pt game or so at the 4th it'll be over?

I agree. Right now, the Blazers are the better team.
 
If we have 1 bad game out of 6, I'm okay with that. One game in the next "week" is nice too. We will bounce back. Not worried at all.

I say fuck it and just play the bench. The starters aren't going to bring us back so might as well let the second unit try an click a little better.
 
They came out flat but the one player who dug that hole at warp speed: Mo Freaking Williams.

He was atrocious on both ends.
