I'm not sure how "CHI's Defense" is the reason for all of this. Sure, they can force Wright off the 3pt line, but they can't force him to take a running mid-range J instead of passing to the open man. Sure, they can double LMA, but they can't force him to take contested J's instead of passing. Sure, they can take the ball out of Lillard's hand, but they can't make Williams blow off Wes open in a corner.

I will say this, and I'm not saying the Blazers can't still win this, but these slow, energy deprived starts have been an issue with this team since last season. If they can't get over this kind of slow starting trend, they won't win games in the playoffs because they will be 20 down before halftime every game.

One thing I have been very curious about has been the effectiveness of the scouts and the pre-game planning on the coaching staff's part, as the team hasn't appeared to have had a good idea what they were up against going into games.

CHI on the other hand, clearly had a good game plan going into this.
