New Jersey (6-7) at La Lakers (7-5) 9:30 pm EST

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) - Despite all the talk about where KobeBryant will be traded to, the Los Angeles Lakers haven't beenpaying attention.

The Lakers, who are in second place in the Pacific division, tryto get back on track Sunday when they host the New Jersey Nets.

After a four-game winning streak, Los Angeles has droppedback-to-back games. On Friday, Bryant scored 28 points andVladimir Radmanovic added 18 in a 107-94 setback to the BostonCeltics.

Radmanovic, who hit 3-of-6 3-pointers, is just one role playerthat has picked up his production. Jordan Farmar, thesecond-year UCLA product, has also been asserting himself on theoffensive end, averaging 10.3 points and 3.0 assists in 21minutes per contest.

The Nets enter the game with wins in their last two games afterlosing six straight. New Jersey has been given a lift by thereturn of Vince Carter, who has scored 13 and 15 points, respectively, in the two victories.

Carter missed five games after spraining his right ankle againstthe Celtics on November 10.

Jefferson being defended by Radman is a terrible matchup for us as exhibited by his first two makes. Lamar slow on the rotation help.

Finally Odom gets in the post and draws a foul.

Kobe is on fire so far really attacking the rim.

Re: NBA: NEW JERSEY (6-7) at LA LAKERS (7-5)

Kobe is forcing shots today. He has forced two 3's, and a crazy off balance fadeaway (that he made).

Re: NBA: NEW JERSEY (6-7) at LA LAKERS (7-5)

Nets in the penalty already.

Bynum is doing a great job of cleaning the glass.

Vince Carter just checked in for the Nets.

Re: NBA: NEW JERSEY (6-7) at LA LAKERS (7-5)

Carter trying to check Kobe in the post, I'll take that matchup all night.

Yeah I like the high pick Bynum is setting for him so he can just pull up from the top of the key.

Nice save by Lamar off Nachbar's nuts. Hahahaha

Re: NBA: NEW JERSEY (6-7) at LA LAKERS (7-5)

Kobe with a terrible shot right there. Keep attacking damn it.

Nice pass by Farmar to draw the shooting foul.

Re: NBA: NEW JERSEY (6-7) at LA LAKERS (7-5)

Kobe keeps forcing threes!

Re: NBA: NEW JERSEY (6-7) at LA LAKERS (7-5)

Kobe needs to quit forcing 3's. That is playing a big role in the drop in his FG% I think.

Re: NBA: NEW JERSEY (6-7) at LA LAKERS (7-5)

Another thing, I don't like this years rotation for Kobe. He used to finish out the 1st and 3rd quarters but this year he's coming out between 1 and 2 mintues before the quarters are over. I know he gets some extra rest this way but I just don't think its worth it.. Any thoughts?

Re: NBA: NEW JERSEY (6-7) at LA LAKERS (7-5)

Solid first quarter by the Lakers 11 free throw attempts and held the Nets to only 18 points. Nets halfcourt offense is an ugly thing to watch.

Yeah I haven't been a fan of the rotations this year either. Maybe PJax doesn't want the team to rely on Kobe to close out quarters anymore?

I'm still trying to figure out how Ronny lost his starting job to Radman.

Re: NBA: NEW JERSEY (6-7) at LA LAKERS (7-5)

Lakers are killing the Nets from that free throw area tonight. Nice shoot by Farmar.

It's making me nauseous. I wanna rip my hair out and throw it at Frank when I'm watching some of these plays.

The last play looked good, though. Alot of movement, and a good rebound by Boone.

Re: NBA: NEW JERSEY (6-7) at LA LAKERS (7-5)

Sasha defending Jason Kidd uh oh.

Re: NBA: NEW JERSEY (6-7) at LA LAKERS (7-5)

What kind of weak shot was that by Kobe!

Re: NBA: NEW JERSEY (6-7) at LA LAKERS (7-5)

Lakers need to put Turiaf or Bynum back in this game. Nets have too, much size right now and are getting their hands on all the rebounds.

Re: NBA: NEW JERSEY (6-7) at LA LAKERS (7-5)

that was a sweet break ... farmer to kobe to LO
