Game Thread: Golden State @ 7:30 (Pac) on KGW

Portland's TO's didn't help, but really - this whole game was reffed horribly. How about that Aldridge "block" when he's STANDING a good 6-8 inches in front of the circle? That call on Rudy takes the cake though. Atrocious. These refs should be fucking ashamed of their ability to do their job. They're fucking LOSERS!

Even though the refs were terrible, this seems to be an ongoing thing with Golden State. I dunno what the numbers are, but it seems like we have always struggled against them.

On the bright side, Oden had a great game and is proving a lot of doubters wrong right now and Jerryd Bayless actually got to see some daylight. He didn't do much, but I enjoyed at least watching him dribble a little. He needs more PT.

Another fucking screw job by paid off refs. That was a terrible terrible call on Rudy and there were many other terrible calls all night. I'm going to bed but what a way to end the game on a shit ass call.:sigh:

We did a lot to give that game away, but it wasn't the Warriors who took it from us.

That was a bad call, but Portland let Golden State play their game. Never should have been that close and when they review that tape someone is going to get a simple slap on the wrist. I hate losing games like that. UGH

If LaMarcus didn't play like horse shit, the outcome could have been a little different.

We got nothing from our PF's and PG's.
hard to play on thin ice, eh?
2 flops on Mags called against him and he takes a charge and its called the other way.

This is laughable. We should have blown this clowns out. The refs plain sucked. How can you not see the hold and see outlaw crossing the FT line? What a joke. No wonder the NBA games are suspect of shady outcomes and fix.:confused:

Yea Rudy's jersey was definitely held on by his opponent in the last 7 secs?. Bad call.
Turnovers were the Blazers nemesis tonight.
Greg had one of his rebounds stolen in the 3rd quarter? Overall hes is improving.

When the hell is our coach going to step up and take a T for the team? His team was getting railroaded all night and he did nothing!

Good question. Nate just stands there. It is very frustrating.

*sigh* the refs make bad calls and give quick techs.... the NBA needs to sort out this out.

It seems to me, that a T in the closing moments of a game like that, is very questionable. Of course, maybe Rudy said that the refs mother sleeps with horses, but it seemed as though all he was doing was showing that his jersey was pulled.

There were somethings that the team did bad, and the reffing seemed to be a little more one-sided than whats fair. Hopefully the team takes it out on the Bulls, but I don't think they have that mentality.

I do like how Greg had a 20-10 game already.

A perfect storm - All those dumb turnovers by the Blazers and by far the worst officiated game of the year. I'm so stunned at what I just witnessed, and the sheer horror of it all, the only thing that surprises me more is that we actually were somewhat in the game...

The refs were horrible, but if we'd have played half as smart as we have this year, we'd have still won. Of course, the reverse also works.

Fuck the refs. And fuck their mothers. The bitches that they are. :ohno:

This is the NBA at its worst and best tonight. Fun game but frustrating because it was so poorly officiated. The ref who called the T looks like a prick. Nellie shouldjhave gotten a T when he thought greg traveled. So many plays that could of gone either way. Oden getting two in a row slapped away? No foul? Those were key posessions

Anthony Morrow is a top 3 rookie right now (with Mayo and Rose). Not to take anything away from Rudy, I'm all for him (I like Joventut, his former team), but Morrow is surprising EVERYONE. Wow.

Oden had a solid game from what I see in the boxscore. Pretty encouraging numbers. You guys watched the game, though, so you know best: how did he do?

Portland let the Warriors go 33-35 from the FT line without any semblance of an inside game by GS?

This was THE WORST CALLED GAME I MAY HAVE EVER SEEN. Top 5, definitely.

We should've played well enough so it never came down to that, but what a screw job we just witnessed.

What is the name of that official? He will be added to my list of refs I can't stand along with Joe Crawford and Tony Brothers.

No he doesn't. Not from what I saw. Back to the bench young fella.

...the refs just cost us a chance at overtime!!! That's pretty fucked!!! And then to call Rudy for a T after you realized you were wrong!!! Fuck you!!! No wonder Sheed almost killed a ref at Oracle!!! Beat the Bulls!!! Rip Fucking City!!!

What, a fat coach stomping at the ref and screaming while doing the traveling motion with his hands for half the court is against the rules?

Why we lost:
Poor officiating
Poor coaching. Nate went small, when we should have went big. He did exactly what Avery did against them in the playoffs. You need to play to YOUR strengths, not theirs.
Turnovers. You have got to take care of the ball, esp against a fast breaking team
GS was just in the zone. We had them taking the shots we wanted them to, but they were locked in. It was a fools gold win for them, we had man of those last year. It isn't sustainable and they will find that out just like we did.

The Warriors played out of their minds though. Look at how many 20+ scorers they had.

The flop jobs on Aldridge were pretty pathetic. That was my only main complaint. When you are shooting 20 3's you just aren't going to be getting the calls. On the other hand, if we went inside we got some crappy flop call. Team started to play better after they started rolling to the bucket and making the extra pass.

Bob "Looks Like An Offensive Foul To Me!" Delany.

We certainly played bad enough to lose the game, but it's good to know that the refs are there to impose the "proper" outcome when the game doesn't go the way the bookie ... er ... fate dictates it should go.

I know I'm just fired up right now because of the outcome of the game, but you can't seriously tell me that Donaghy was some rogue, lone actor.

The Warriors will win 70% of their home games. This was not a game we SHOULD have won. Could of ...yes. But GS shoots great at home. They won the game.
