We have different expectations than they do. They have moral wins. We don't.

No they don't. You can't assume they have moral wins. We can't tack on expectations we believe them to have.

well, after BARELY losing to the Lakers, and playing so-so against the Hawks right now, the Blazers must be extremely confident.

We're not shooting well. Pay attention to what I'm saying. What you said about 7 of 9 is true but what I said is true too and that is why the team was confident.

Hmmm where's dviss. Maybe he can break that play down. I thought it was close.

Did we shoot 19 of 27 around then?

So when we hit those 20+ against Charlotte... we lost to Philadelphia the very next game AT HOME. Why does one game define being hot? Come on, be smarter than that.

1 game does not "hot" or "confident" make.

Here's how the Blazers are trying to compensate for Lillard on defense:

They're literally switching on every pick and roll that features Lillard.

I LISTEN TO THEM ON THE FUCKING RADIO. They were excited about almost beating OKC. They were smiling and laughing after shooting 19 of 27 from three against Sac. They were very excited to play us. Listen to me. I'm not making shit up. Why are you fighting me on this? I'm right.

No it's not.

Charlotte we hit 20 +

Lost to Philadelphia the next game.

Can't say it's a foregone conclusion when there's statistical proof that it's not true.

You can't be right on assumptions. :)

They SAID they were confident. And yes, one game made them feel hot. They went in to our game feeling very good. I'm not making this up or guessing.

Yes it does. DOn't you know? You know, when we beat Charlotte with 20+ threes, we were hot..... then lost to Philadelphia.

But, but, Moral wins!

Do you really, HONESTLY, believe players are saying that? COme on, read between the lines. They don't give a shit. They (most likely) checked out a month ago.

Interesting that Lillard is the only Blazer starter with an assist currently.

This isn't about us. It's about the Lakers. They Lakers felt hot and confident coming into their game against us. When you're a lotto teams, you have little victories. Anything to make you feel better. We have different expectations.

I'm not assuming. THEY SAID IT ON THE RADIO. I heard Pau Gasol and Jordan Farmar and Kent Bazemore among others.

OH MY GOSH! They said it! So, when the Blazers say they are trying to work on Defense then were continually giving up 100+ a month ago... we are supposed to just believe it?

Come on dude, players are not honest in interviews. They are canned.

So you're saying you're happy that the team lost to a (then) 20 win team, at home, with like 2 players that would make most rosters in the NBA this season?

Because they were "hot" and "confident"?

There is no excuse for a team with 41 wins (out of 59 games played), at home, to lay that colossal of an egg against a team that has won 20 games in the same # of games.

You said that a team can be hot after 1 game and feel it. I gave you a counter, and you deny it.

It's cool, you can be wrong sometimes. It won't hurt you.

This. ANd then deny that because they were hot they were going to beat us. When we did the SAME thing, with HIGHER expectations, and then lost to Philadelphia AT HOME.

Ummm I HEARD IT WITH MY OWN EARS. They weren't checked out at all. I'm not making this up. I heard the actual players talk before the game. Why is no one getting this?

I never said I was happy with a loss.

Can y'all start a thread where you argue about stupid shit? Or, you know, don't feed the troll?

because it doesn't matter?

I can be confident all I want, but I'm still not going to beat Michael Phelps in a race. Even if I just beat the best guy at my work in a race.

I stated facts. Not sure what else to tell you.

I knew moving back to California would change you. Why are you listening to what Laker players are saying?!?

Because we understand that players hardly EVER give real answers. They are all PC. you can't take them at their word. Not that their not honest, it's that they are not given room to actually talk.

You have to understand that. Because that is true (They all have PR firms working for them, how is that not a dead giveaway)

what's with this know it all attitude lately? lose it cause it does not work
