BLAZERS' GAME NOTES • Sunday marks the second and final matchup between Portland and New York in 2014-15.
• The Trail Blazers defeated the Knicks, 103-99, on Dec. 7 at Madison Square Garden. In that game, LaMarcus Aldridge recorded game-highs in both points (24) and rebounds (11) in 36 minutes.
• With a win on Sunday, the Trail Blazers will have swept the Knicks in three consecutive seasons for the second time in franchise history (Four straight seasons from 1983-84 through 1086-87).
• Portland committed nine turnovers against New York, marking one of four times this season that the Trail Blazers have had 10 turnovers or less.
• Portland ranks sixth in the NBA with 104.1 points per game, while New York is averaging 94.0 points per game (Ranked 28th).
• The Trail Blazers have yielded the lowest 3-point field goal percentage in the NBA (29.7%), while the Knicks have surrendered the highest 3-point field goal percentage in the league (39.0%).
• The Trail Blazers haven’t lost to New York since Terry Stotts took over as head coach (5-0). Portland was 2-3 against the Knicks in the three seasons prior to Stotts’ arrival.
• Portland’s five-game winning streak over New York is the longest since the Trail Blazers defeated New York five consecutive times from 3/22/07 to 2/8/09.
• LaMarcus Aldridge has compiled five consecutive double-doubles against New York. In his nine career double-doubles against the Knicks, Portland owns a 7-2 record.
• In five career games against the Knicks, Damian Lillard is averaging 20.4 points and 5.6 assists per game. Lillard is shooting 29-of-53 in his two-plus seasons against New York (54.7%).
