NEW YORK (Ticker) -- Stephon Marbury and the New York Knicks mustbe happy to return home from one of their worst road trips inrecent memory.
The Knicks aim to snap their six-game skid Tuesday when theyreturn home to host the Golden State Warriors.
Mired in their longest losing streak under embattled coach IsiahThomas, the Knicks went 0-4 on their recent West Coast roadtrip.
The trek was marred by a controversy involving Marbury, who leftthe team last Tuesday upon learning that he would not start inthe team's game against the Phoenix Suns.
A Brooklyn native, the mercurial Marbury returned to the teamthe following day and came off the bench in an 84-81 loss to theLos Angeles Clippers.
Marbury played just 16 minutes off the bench in Saturday'sembarrassing 115-83 loss to the Denver Nuggets.
The Knicks are in their longest losing streak since a nine-gameskid under then-coach Larry Brown from March 19-April 4, 2006.
Conversely, the Warriors have won consecutive decisions afterbeginning the season with six straight losses.
A key to Golden State's success has been the return of forwardStephen Jackson, who was suspended the first seven games of theseason.
Jackson had 17 points and five rebounds Sunday in the Warriors'106-100 triumph over the Toronto Raptors.
The last team in the NBA to earn a victory this season, GoldenState has won eight of its last 10 meetings with New York.
