Michael Beasley
Height: 6'9" (206 cm)
Weight: 235 lbs (107 kg)
Age: 19
College: Kansas State (freshman)
<u>Details</u>
Why would anybody pass up on a quick and strong power forward that can create scoring chances from numerous points on the court? I suppose we?€™ll have to ask John Paxson that if he ends up passing on Michael Beasley out of Kansas State with the first pick. However, I?€™m not even close to the tip of the iceberg as the kid has so much talent to list. He has a nice shooting range to go with his strength, which if he utilizes more frequently I could see him easily faking out opposition and driving to the net for an easy slam. He?€™s a confident young player at only 19 years of age and fights hard on both ends of the court even though he still needs to improve his defensive awareness. Improvement in all aspects shouldn?€™t be an issue with Beasley in the slightest with a confident coaching staff to lead him. As much as I would like to believe Bulls GM John Paxson will take the hometown boy Derrick Rose, I don?€™t think he?€™ll pass up on a power forward, which the Bulls have craved for the past couple of seasons. Michael Beasley fits the bill for the Bulls franchise more then any other player in this draft and I?€™m confident he will be heading to the Windy City.
A great player for: Chicago or Miami (There is no possible chance of him not going first or second in this draft)</div>

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>#5 Pick - Kevin Love
June 17th, 2008 by ghoti He shut things down early and canceled all his workouts. This is where Love is going.
I will eagerly search Yahoo! photos after every game in the preseason so I can post the first picture of him standing to the right of Rudy Gay so we can all have a hearty laugh. HA!
Is this a good pick for Memphis? Yes. There is no impact big man to take here, and the Grizzlies need everything Love gives them - post scoring, rebounding, physicality, range to unclog the paint, a bit of a swagger - and his signature bullet passes will ignite their break.
Is a solid starter with very little superstar potential going #5 a statement about the overall quality of this draft? Probably. It doesn?€™t matter to Memphis, though. They will be very happy with this selection.

Chris Wallace knows we can all use some Gay Love.</div>
