Michael Beasley

Weight: 235 lbs (107 kg)
Age: 19
College: Kansas State (freshman)

<u>Details</u>
Why would anybody pass up on a quick and strong power forward that can create scoring chances from numerous points on the court? I suppose we?€™ll have to ask John Paxson that if he ends up passing on Michael Beasley out of Kansas State with the first pick. However, I?€™m not even close to the tip of the iceberg as the kid has so much talent to list. He has a nice shooting range to go with his strength, which if he utilizes more frequently I could see him easily faking out opposition and driving to the net for an easy slam. He?€™s a confident young player at only 19 years of age and fights hard on both ends of the court even though he still needs to improve his defensive awareness. Improvement in all aspects shouldn?€™t be an issue with Beasley in the slightest with a confident coaching staff to lead him. As much as I would like to believe Bulls GM John Paxson will take the hometown boy Derrick Rose, I don?€™t think he?€™ll pass up on a power forward, which the Bulls have craved for the past couple of seasons. Michael Beasley fits the bill for the Bulls franchise more then any other player in this draft and I?€™m confident he will be heading to the Windy City.

A great player for: Chicago or Miami (There is no possible chance of him not going first or second in this draft)</div>

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>#5 Pick - Kevin Love
June 17th, 2008 by ghoti He shut things down early and canceled all his workouts. This is where Love is going.

I will eagerly search Yahoo! photos after every game in the preseason so I can post the first picture of him standing to the right of Rudy Gay so we can all have a hearty laugh. HA!

Is this a good pick for Memphis? Yes. There is no impact big man to take here, and the Grizzlies need everything Love gives them - post scoring, rebounding, physicality, range to unclog the paint, a bit of a swagger - and his signature bullet passes will ignite their break.

Is a solid starter with very little superstar potential going #5 a statement about the overall quality of this draft? Probably. It doesn?€™t matter to Memphis, though. They will be very happy with this selection.

Chris Wallace knows we can all use some Gay Love.</div>

We are gonna own. I'm predicting a 103-90 Loss, though.

Who's this "we" you speak of?

.......Cant wait til they trade for Luther Head

Even Carlos Mencia could have a field day with Gay, Love, Head

great job Jigga! Waking up this morning and seeing "Game Thread" put a huge smile on my face

I've had dreams the past two nights. The first night, we drafted Gallanari at 10. Last night, Micheal Beasley was on my friend's rec team, and we actually ended up with the #5 pick...

I heard something about a live chat room? Is that going to happen?

So who thinks Swift will get playing time tomorrow night?

I'm getting pretty excited...lots of rumors...gonna be a fun couple days.

It will probably be for another team though

I love the excitement right now; knowing that we really have no idea what draft strategy we're going to use, at least until the first 9 picks come up. After that it could be jailbreak for our roster and picks. We all know about the Portland possibility, and that the Pacers tried to buy 21, but I wonder what else is waiting to go down?

It'd be nice if people mixed with fans from other teams during the draft

I'm a step ahead of you Denny!

Brook (or Robin) Lopez or Eric Gordon or Jerryd Bayless or…
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (NetsDaily)</div><div class='quotemain'>No one is saying it’s definite–and the Blazer trade sits there staring them in the face, but the Nets’ brass thinks their top pick is likely to come down to Eric Gordon, Jerryd Bayless or someone named Lopez. The Nets would be happy to grab Gordon, Bayless or Brook Lopez, but if they’re gone, look for the trade to get done and Brook’s twin, Robin, to be the Nets’ top pick at #13.</div>

Still crossing my fingers on no Lopez. This draft is looking worse and worse with each report.

I kind of agree. A month ago we were thinking Love, then we got used to the idea of Gallinari, there were Bayless rumors for a second.

Now were looking at the wrong Lopez and Eric Gordon.

I know, I'm getting more and more nervous as each minute passes by. This could have been a GREAT draft for us, and a chance to prove what Kiki and Thorn want to do with the team. Sadly, this seems to me to be a disaster waiting to happen.

Where can i watch the draft live online? Help? Thanks.

they'll probably have all of the picks updated quickly on nba.com or espn.com, or you can just listen to us here. to actually watch it, I'm not sure, try googling streams maybe?

I wish I could have been there tonight.
