The bigs should split even minutes until playoffs when rolo comes back. I'd love to see Stotts coach like Pops and rest 1 of the bigs on a rotating schedule or something. Or even give someone minutes the next night and then limited until the next 2 games.

I say continue giving a variety of players decent minutes.

Well, didn't the team struggle a lot when Freeland got hurt last year? He's the odd glue that keeps the shit together when he's playing.

They should play the British Anthem whenever he enters the game. Of course, idiots will think it's God Bless America, so maybe not.

They should play Roll Britannia instead! (Maybe they do something like this already).

If we win this game without LA and Rolo on the court, I'll be impressed!
 
The raptors lineup is hardly impressive to me and doesn't seem as good as their record indicates. I guess it's 1 of 2 things...either kyle lowry is just THAT GOOD, or the East is just THAT BAD. I'd probably go with the latter.

The Raptors are (I think without fact checking here) 9-2 against the West..they are legit and well coached
 
Portland F LaMarcus Aldridge (upper respiratory illness) is PROBABLE; F/C Meyers Leonard (left shoulder strain) and C Robin Lopez (right hand fracture) are OUT tonight vs. Toronto.

Sweet! Very glad to hear LMA is probable. Having him with Kaman as a reserve will help so much. Meyers is out; I'm hoping TRob gets a DNP unless its a blowout. I'd rather see us go small with Wright/Clavier/Nic at the 4 when Aldridge sits. Freeland can play a few minutes at the 4 with Kaman. But to do that Joel needs to stay out of foul trouble.
 
Anyone else think its odd LaMarcus always plays the entire first and third quarters? I know he's done it much of his career. But now he's almost 30. He often performs his best early in games and defers to teammates in the 4th quarter. I think most of us assume he's not a clutch player so thats why others take over in the 4th but could fatigue be a factor? Back when we had Roy; LaMarcus had a role of being the primary offensive option at the end of the 1st and 3rd but with Kaman as an offensive option and all the shooting we have the team could go in a number of different directions.

This game scares me a little. If we can come out and establish our game early, I'll have more confidence. I just hope we don't get into some running match with these young players
 
This game scares me a lot. Toronto and Atlanta are the best the East has to offer, and I feel a bit exposed without Rolo.

Mags had a stat that said LaMarcus is the best clutch player in the league.
 
Yeah, not sure why you'd have an idea that LA isn't a clutch player - we've ridden that horse late in games time and again with great success.
 
The only reason I like their new logo is their old one sucked HARD.

Looks like a few people made it but not the turnout the thread starter was hoping for. Tough time of the year to make a trip.
