Would make the most sense in terms of having a 2 guard defense minded on both units. But I'm sure Ant will close games with Dame.
ya, much like tyler herro coming off the bench in miami.

25 mil is steep but if he gets 30-35 mpg, does it matter?

And Ant doesn't seem like the Diva who'd demand to be starting right away.

what if they're planning on bringing ant off the bench?

dame/ ant
hart / gp2
nas / shaedon
grant / winslow
nurk / BAE
Ant would still get 30 min. + , and would have the green light. I feel Nas is going to take another step up this year, and could become special. Pretty cool.

I just think something else is coming. We haven’t signed Nurk yet. We pick up another short guard. It feels like a trade is coming.

While a trade could still happen we needed to use our MLE before we signed Nurk. Although since this is the moratorium I do wonder how the order of the "announcements" really matter haha.

Cronin said he would play Ant at center if he needed to to get him on the floor for 36 minutes.

not unimaginable to see him come off the bench.

Cronin’s concern level regarding the possibility of starting Lillard and Simons together?

“Zero,” Cronin said. “I would vote to play Ant at center if it was the only way to get him 36 minutes. He’s that good.”

And would Cronin be concerned if Billups next season decides to start Lillard, Simons and Hart?

“Size-wise, yes,” Cronin said. “But I’m concerned with putting enough talent on this roster first. Positionally, our trades have solved some of the issues as far as financially/exact position they play. We have to balance the roster, no doubt. But the number one thing is we have to get more talent. We can’t take talent for granted.”

Give me Ayton, or give me death! (If it only costs Nurk and Hart + change)

That team is short but versatile. You could put together any combination of guys from that rotation.
And has several reliable hustle players.
I'll worry less about Grant be granted playing time he doesn't earn.

im trying to rationalize the stupidity. indulge me.
This isn’t a video game where shit is done willy-nilly. Teams sit down and plan and target specific players. Maybe GP2 wasn’t their first choice until the market played out like it did but Cronin and Co. spend all season planning this and have literally every single outcome probably played out in some way.

Much like you reaction at the deadline, you can’t judge this shit immediately. It’s been less than 12 hours since FA started and the biggest pieces on the board (KD) have yet to move. We have Hart, Bledsoe, Keon, multiple picks, maybe Nurk, to package together to bring something back if need be.

Now if we still have the same guard rotation in 6 weeks…you can come say I told you so, but I’d bed a significant amount of money that Bledsoe and Hart are packaged in a deal for someone that can play 3 and/or 4 and move Grant down (which I hope isn’t case, I thing JG is a definite 4).

Payton shot 36% on threes on 37% of his shots. That is actually like, way better than I thought.
I think he was mainly shooting corner threes for the Warriors.

is it really that restrictive? we just need to take less money back than we send out.

You don't think it is? For one, there are significantly less options with the Bledsoe contract.

this is easier said than done, and practically impossible unless you're expecting to get nurk for less than 10 mil
