You won't regret it, man. Took me a little while to figure out the right amount of coffee to water ratio.
This is how I brew:
• Brew inverted. The coffee will seep through the filter if you put water on top of the beans and stir if it's right side up. careful when you flip it over to press though.
• I do a little under two tablespoons of ground coffee(a little finer than drip)
• add coffee followed by water(around 175 degrees is best)to the 2 line and stir. Fill the rest of the way up and let it sit for 15 seconds or so.
• Pour hot water over the filter inside the cap. soaking the filter is pretty important with paper filters before you press.
• Don't press too hard. Gentle pressing is the best way to go.
• When you have the coffee in your cup add water to dilute if it's to strong. I usually fill to a little past the 1 line and add to the coffee.
Ease of use really makes this a great device. You really can't have an easier cleanup. takes me 10 seconds to clean after use.
Just started grinding my beans at home and I really have to say it's the best way to go(if you aren't doing it already
