Golden State Warriors pick watch

Word salad. Just being a contrarian as per usual. I didn't see you say you'd be rooting for the Warriors or that you even want them to win. Who do you want to win the Lakers/Warriors game today? If your answer isn't the Warriors then you're kind of in a tough place.
good grief, brain salad as per usual. I'm not rooting for either team and truly don't care who wins... does not caring put me in a tough place lol! Like a lot of posters here I absolutely hate the Lakers and it's pretty hard to imagine a scenario where I'd root for them. The talent in this next draft doesn't excite me nearly enough to overcome that hate. I'll be watching another game that I do have a strong rooting interest in, but this LA-W's game should be a good watch for hoops fans as both teams have strong motivations to win.

dirty Warriors raked AD across the eyes. He's questionable to return

I suddenly feel sick...I just turned on the Warriors/Lakers game and saw that the Lakers were down...and I said "stupid lakers".

LA has tried 5 times to inbound the ball. The clock refuses to work.

I think this pick watch is pretty much over until the play-ins. What we have to hope for now is that the Lakers not only beat the Warriors but whoever else they play in the next game and at the same time that one of the 9 or 10 seeds from the east gets in. That puts our pick at 12. I know some people say it doesn't matter because this draft is weak but every spot higher that any of our picks climbs gives the team more options and therefore a better chance to make a great pick.

the team "insiders" are lightly whispering Mikal Bridges to Portland rumors. All the draft pick options are ready to build Dame's playoff team without Lillard ??

Huh? Who is whispering Mikal Bridges?
Yeah... First I've heard about any 'whispers'..

Just from a logical standpoint of what each team needs and are looking for..... I highly doubt the validity of this one.

uh, link?

if Portland actually tries to trade their pick(s) for some lower-level established player they will have dived head-first back into the 'olshey-era-sure-glad-to-be-here-pit-of-mediocrity'. Actually, they may never have climbed out of it, just rebranded

at very best, Portland may currently have a couple of 3rd/4th options. What they need is a couple of 1st options. They won't get those by trading away draft picks, unless it's for higher draft picks

This thread is STILL alive? This draft is ass, this pick has no value FAMS. Can’t wait for whoever we get with this pick is slammed with unrealistic expectations and becomes the scapegoat for why we will only win 25 games next season. But please continue…….

uh, link?
whispers mean 4th person podcast chatter. When talking rumors & Blazers, remember, it's still the same assortment of media voices that openly discussed Blazers landing Embiid & Giannis after last year's trade deadline.

Put any big name in a boat, lift the sail, and fans can watch it float. Meanwhile the Blazers actual team is in dry dock.

1. No draft is ass. You can find quality players in every draft.

2. What the hell do we have to be excited about? This season is about developing the players we have and HOPING we can draft some better ones.

Think about it this way, your wife has been doing the player development thing with you for years. It's obviously not working. So she has been holding predraft workouts in your bedroom to draft your replacement.

25 wins ?? That's not bad enough. Blazers should try and be worse. Big name rookies top 4

oh sweet--love that stuff. which one you talking about?
i refuse to name names. I don't wanna be a rumor pusher.

OK fine... i'll cave in..
it was Blazers Uprise !! Though this is all secret rumors that they didn't want to discuss. Dropping MB hints, but no details.

True... But realistic expectations should be maintained.
This is very much like the 2013 draft. Here is your top 10 picks:

1 CLE -> Anthony Bennett
2 ORL -> Victor Oladipo
3 WAS -> Otto Porter
4 CHA -> Cody Zeller
5 PHX -> Alex Len
6 PHI -> Nerlens Noel
7 SAC -> Ben McLemore
8 DET -> Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
9 UTA -> Trey Burke
10 POR -> CJ McCollum

So the moral of the story is most likely the high-end outcome will be a good role player.

15. Bucks - Giannis

27. Nugs traded to Utah - Gobert

With the Warriors’ pick — Furphy, Salaun, or Dunn.
Positional size at forward with an NBA skill and a mix of skills.
Add that to Risacher, Williams, or Sarr and it’s a wrap.

Finish transforming this post-Dame team with trades of Ant, Grant, and Matisse to more veteran teams closer to contending.

As to whispers and Mikal Bridges? He’s 28 at the beginning of next season. Ayton will be 26.
Ayton-Grant-Bridges-Sharpe-Scoot (Minus Ant + the higher pick? And the Warriors’ pick? With Brooklyn building around Ant, 5-ish, Johnson, Claxton?) … just not seeing it even being a big Bridges fan.

as the top of the lottery struggles to keep their consistent play going I keep looking at virginia's ryan dunn. draft him and redshirt him for the remix next year and see if he can develop an offensive game on high usage. in this draft he's one of the few players with elite skills.

I'd even take the GS pick and package it with both our second rounders to target someone in the top 10. Salaun, Holland, or Buzelis as our second selection would be nice.

Ant will still be here. Simons high volume shooting is the key cog for the "win now very soon" Blazers.
