Right after the 2016 election I wrote what turned out to be my last letter to my father before he died. I compared Trump to Nixon, Ford, Reagan and both Bushes and concluded he had all their faults and none of their good points. Also that it would be much worse than anyone anticipated. I was right.

I so agree. Within a few days of the 2016 inaugural I started a thread here, "What a Buffoon." I knew he was incompetent, and kind of a joke, but what I never expected was that he would turn out to be malevolent too.
