Dan Marang is on the radio right now saying that he was told in September that early December was the actual expected return time for those who knew what was actually going on. Says this is actually right in line with a realistic return timeline, and that we shouldn't expect him to actually be in basketball shape until January.

Re-evaluated in two weeks but he still hasn't practiced. Earliest we'll see him is sometime in mid December...

Not sure what meaning you are intending with the use of "Capper"? Informer? Complete informer?
If you are suggesting something different I assure you that you are wrong.

Did he say that back in September or is he just pretending to be an insider now?
 
In mid-October, when it was posted that Payton was "2 weeks away" from action I made a joke that in Blazer-lingo, 2 weeks away in October meant January. Watching the punchline become reality

Blazers have a history of adding injured players:

Fabrico Oberto
Festus Ezeli
Pau Gasol
Joe Ingles
Gary Payton Jr.

so far those 5 guys have combined for the same number of games as a Blazer as Ibou Badji....or me
 
I wonder if it would not just be wise to sit Payton til after Xmas / New Years and make sure he is 100 before rushing him out to re-injure it or injure something else. This team has been mostly fine without him and gives Sharpe more time and as much as i like Hart the Blazers need to see if it's worth it to re-sign him OR use him to get something else. I want to make ONE thing clear not advocating for a Hart trade but still something they should look at and see if everything AS IS makes sense before the deadline later in the season.

he makes up shit half the time so it's hard to say forreal.

like his whole cryptic eyebrow raising during the draft when we selected Shaedon and his intimation was that Dame was unhappy that we didn't trade the pick.

Or his Simons height lies.

etc etc. he gets 0 benefit of the doubt from me.

I really don't like him on the radio. Seems like there's gotta be a better option.

And yeah, I'd like to see where he said in September that it would be this long. Does come across more as bullshit.

Ah, I'm not familiar with him so have no idea. Either way I guess it doesn't matter, the news sucks regardless.
 
Gary is being saved for when we make trades come the deadline...he'll be ready to step in..in the meantime we are building trade value with guys at his position.
 
Dan's big prediction recently is that the Jazz will tank hard and this early success was a fluke given their lottery dreams

Man, I love dusty harrah but I can not stand Danny on the show. Dunno, I think it's just his voice and cadence but it just hits me wrong lol. I realize it's a me thing and totally subjective, but alas. Let it be known this is not about him as a person. Just my own likes and dislikes.
