Oden was booed when they showed him on the big screen tonight. Completely classless act by the fans in my opinion.

I just read that in the game recap. Best fans in the NBA??? Nope, pathetic losers fill our stands

Many fans also booed a video image of Greg Oden, the former No. 1 overall draft pick who has not played since December 2009 because of knee injuries. Oden had arthroscopic surgery on Friday in Denver.

I understand wishing they drafted Durant, but that's lame. Was it a lot of fans, or just a few idiots?

I'm dissappointed that he's been injured, but I would never boo him.

I don't blame Oden for this. I blame fans for holding on to unrealistic expectations for this long. Now they're finally coming back down to earth and they're taking out their anger on Greg. That's not fair. I think Greg is done, but I've had extremely low expectations for him since.... oh.... two years ago? People have been holding onto this dream like he's Jesus and his second coming will lead us to the promised land. Reality just punched Blazer fans in the gut and some of them don't like what they see.

All oden has to do is play. Our fans will support him if they see he's making an effort to still be a blazer. What the fans did was embarrassing; but they've been fed the lame columns of quick and cansuckoff about him never playing a game as a blazer. I think the fan base is deeply frustrated in this situation.

Oden is done in Portland.

We all know it. Nobody is saying it. And while the team requires Oden to sit on the bench during the games, and to do his contractually obligated NBA appearances, I don't think Blazers fans would mind a bit if the organization excused him from the rest of the season and sent him home.

Maybe that's what Oden himself did by having this surgery.

Well, it's from Canzano, so obviously it must be true.

This was what I emailed Cansuckoff and posted on the article too.

This has "tool" written all over it. I bet you smiled when you heard the news of fans booing Greg too. I love reading your whack job articles. I always need some comic relief.

Jesus Fucking Christ. At this point I will not be sad if Oden goes elsewhere and has an amazing comeback, because assholes like that brought it on.

I wonder if any team is still interested in actually trading for Oden? I would now do a Felton + Oden + ? (not Batum) for Steve Nash, and this despite the fact that Nash is nearly as old as me.

Yeah it would be hilarious if he leaves PDX and owns. What would be even more fitting is if he stays and owns. And when Cansuckoff writes this piece that he knew all along that Oden loves PDX and his career is some testimony on how great Blazer Brass is to stick by their man.

Dear John Canzano. I am one of the Blazers fans you pretend to represent. I've been a Blazers fan since before you ever heard of the team. Please do not presume to speak for me when you write your hate speech and try to foment a mob reaction as sickening as booing a player for his physical challenges. Fuck you very much.

I'm sure those are the same fans that stayed away in droves when the losing began and blamed their apathy on the Jail Blazer persona.

Some fans believe he is holding out so he can get a better contract with another team. I don't buy that, but if it were true I'd boo him like there was no tomorow.

He wanted to be a star, and it's not his fault he's hurt. So booing him is out of order at this point. But of course, I "boo" this whole scenario. Yet again, drafting an injury riddled center instead of a super-star.

Lightening keeps hitting this franchise right in the ass.

Oden will NOT be having an "amazing comeback." Not in Portland, not in L.A., and not anywhere on the surface of this planet.

Save the boo's for when he goes to a divisional rival and becomes an All-Star.

Posters on this board are upset about "boos?" This board spills out much more hate than a smattering of boos.

Not OK to bash players in front of their face but anything behind their back is OK?

If boos bother Oden, imagine what some of the names on a this board full of Blazer manacs would do to him and other players and coaches . . .

You're right, a lighter gravity planet would do wonders for Oden and his knees.

Amen

The only time I will boo Oden is if he leaves our club to take less and go to another team. If that happens; then he will be my most hated player.

Maybe they were chanting, "Boooo-urns! Boo-urns!"

You know, because he's going to burn up this league as soon as he's healthy.

It's a PR mess when you consider how good Durant is. They management are trying to quietly sweep this under the rug.

Well said perhaps, but it's not about Bothering Oden, it's about Class. Booing G.O. is white trash IMO, if they did in-fact boo him. This Internet Forum is here for you to express your feelings that may be inappropriate for the real world. If you had a problem with your father in law, would you talk to your wife about it, or would you talk shit disrespectfully to his face? Booing someone because of injuries out of their control is just plain Ignorant.

PR mess?!?! Dude lets not even look at Durant. Okay we got Conley Jr., Horford, and Noah. Any of those three would do us well right now.

Well, it's especially Durant because: 1) he's the best of the lot, and 2) the team made a big deal of choosing between the two with the websites and the honk thing. ANND, him going to Seattle sorta had an impact with them being so close by. If they had not moved, this factor would have been a big deal.
