Well said perhaps, but it's not about Bothering Oden, it's about Class. Booing G.O. is white trash IMO, if they did in-fact boo him. This Internet Forum is here for you to express your feelings that may be inappropriate for the real world. If you had a problem with your father in law, would you talk to your wife about it, or would you talk shit disrespectfully to his face? Booing someone because of injuries out of their control is just plain Ignorant.
Really dude? That used to be one of my happiest moments as a Blazer fan. Now I want to forget it even happened.
So close to getting Durant . . . if we just ended up #2. (Ironic how happy we were all feeling about #1)
The only time I will boo Oden is if he leaves our club to take less and go to another team. If that happens; then he will be my most hated player.
Good point. You're right, a lighter gravity planet would do wonders for Oden and his knees.
Maybe the crowd did that. How would we know?
How does a doctor boo sound different from a player boo?
There's a distinct difference between concluding that Greg's basketball future is pretty gloomy and stating that opinion vs. misdirecting your anger at the person suffering all of the injuries. Boo his doctors if you like, but booing Greg is bullshit.

And where exactly did I say that this was a good thing? All I said is that we don't have enough information to know whether this is a really big deal or just another in a long line of setbacks for Greg. I don't know anything about the range of things that happen to people who've undergone MF surgeries. Could it be that the tissue that forms to fill in the hole in the cartilage sometimes doesn't completely and smoothly fill the hole and, as a result, sometimes surrounding cartilage wears down to match? No idea if that could happen, but it doesn't seem out of the realm of the possible. I have no idea from the reports how much cartilage needed to be cleaned out of the joint. I have no idea what the condition of the joint looked like after the surgeon examined it. Obviously, it didn't warrant another MF surgery or they would have done that. And, with all due respect to whatever you may know about the knee from your paramedic training and personal injuries, I doubt that you have any more insight on these issues than I do. Further, where do you get the idea that Greg was doing the "lowest impact possible" training? You don't know what he's been doing lately because there've been no reports on that. So, yeah, I have no problem with people having a pessimistic view about Greg's future. You'd have to be pretty Pollyanna to be optimistic that he's going to fully recover and have a long NBA career. They may find things in his left knee that are more severe and Greg could say screw it and retire next week. But all we know right now is that he had some debris cleaned out of a knee joint. That's a pretty simple surgery and I think some here have responded to it in a way that is out of proportion to what it was.
And that's all I'm trying to say here. The good news is that they scoped the knee, removed the debris, and didn't find anymore holes in the cartilage that would have required another MF surgery. It's the best outcome we've ever heard from one of Greg's surgeries. Beyond that, it's the same situation as usual: wait and see what happens.
You mean like a page or two back?
And there's nothing "simple" about this kind of surgery.
They removed more articular cartilage that had flaked/chipped/broken off at some point between his last MF surgery and now ... just because they didn't decide to do MF again doesn't mean smooth sailing; microfracture is mostly just to buy an athlete time by giving their body psuedo-cartilage which can extend their career, but it's not a permanent solution. More damage to his articular cartilage and more removals just means less of it to protect the head of his femur and tibia. Maybe they theoretically could do another microfracture of his knee but at some point there's a diminishing return on yet another surgery due to time lost because of the length of rehab. I'm not saying Greg's career is definitely over (even though his Blazers career almost cetainly is) but there's no "good news" here.
Not one person on this page has less than 1500 posts, y'all need a life. Oden was a failure, move on.
Neat story
Think so? What's your story? 7700+ posts? That's a story.

Then why did you fall asleep on television in front of millions of people?
Do you realize that more people laughed at you than saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan in 3 consecutive Sundays in February 1964?
You should push this as a series to Hollywood. You sleeping in a truck.
I don't blame Oden for this. I blame fans for holding on to unrealistic expectations for this long. Now they're finally coming back down to earth and they're taking out their anger on Greg. That's not fair. I think Greg is done, but I've had extremely low expectations for him since.... oh.... two years ago? People have been holding onto this dream like he's Jesus and his second coming will lead us to the promised land. Reality just punched Blazer fans in the gut and some of them don't like what they see.
