<font color=""Navy"">New Jersey Nets(28-32) </font> vs <font color=""blue"">Dallas Mavericks</font>(50-9)
Time: Tuesday, March 6th, 2007 8:30 EST
TV: YES
Away/Home
It looked like things were finally starting to fit. The Nets were on a solid winning streak, holding the 7th seed in the east, only 2 games from .500, with two "easy" games: struggling Boston at home and AI-less Philly away. But somehow, they managed to lose both games and now find themselves struggling for the 8th seed once again. To top it all off, they face the hottest and best team in the league, and one of the best in the league in the last 5 years: the Dallas Mavericks (plus, it's all happening in Dallas, where the Nets have a 6 game losing streak going!).
With at least 7 players who can score 20 points in a game (you can count if you want) and a defense that resembles a brick wall, the Mavs seem unbeatable right now. With a 15 game winning streak going for them right now, the momentum is obviously on their side and they're going to take full advantage of it.
Starting Lineups:
New Jersey Nets:
PG:Jason Kidd
SG:Vince Carter
SF:Bostjan Nachbar
PF:Jason Collins
C:Mikki Moore
Dallas Mavericks:
PG:Jason Terry
SG:Greg Buckner
SF:Josh Howard
PF:Dirk Nowitzki
C:Brendan Haywood
*Key players in bold
Keys to the Game:
-Somehow contain Dirk, but still defend Terry, Howard and the rest.
-Umm...a little (or maybe a lot) of luck.
Prediction: Mavs +12
