But nothing has been done to keep them away from someone mental....
This alone is an interesting subject....yesterday's stable professional could in a nano second become tomorrow's mental...the timing of a human's ability to snap and exhibit irrational behavior is completely random and in most cases uncontrolable

Mostly unrelated to the topic, but I just spent the last 3 weeks in Cambodia. Good times.
I was there in the mid 70s....gave the kids my pack of Camel non filters, paid the bill and left the country

It's an amazing place....I hope they eventually clear the country of land mines...I've never seen so many amputees before in all my travels

Why would common people need to own a guy anyway. I don't get that
I couldn't afford to own a guy. No fucking way.

I wanted to steal a white Tiger cub from the strip years ago after I got to pet it for a few seconds. I called it off the stage "here Kitty kitty" and it ran over and put it's huge paws on my knee and I got to pet it before the handler ran down to get it.
I couldn't have fed the damn thing anyway.

One of my vet buddies has lived there since his discharge from the Navy...he comes around occasionally and asks me to invest in his Karaoke bar...too frickin' humid in the subtropics...I couldn't spend more than 6 weeks there without needing to dry out

Pretty clear fake thread started by a Russian bot with 2 more Russian bots supplying the cliche’ replies in the second and third posts. All 3 “joined” the board after Russia started flooding the internet with these rabble rousers.

first rule of the internet is to keep it in perspective...people think English rules the internet but it really doesn't....I've helped friends find resources for products they can't find here stateside ....glass artists....a handful of suppliers in an English search...search in mandarin and there are thousands of results....Spanish ...same...we are in essence language snobs when it comes to information in general

I just finished building a home away from home there. Used for mostly to escape the winters here in OR.

I have one of those in Eastern Taiwan...it's my retirement plan to snowbird there

I think police need new gun rules too. For ALL of our sakes but especially for black folks.

A few numbers for you. There were 1,129 people killed by police in 2017. Despite Blacks being just 13% of the population, 27% of those killed were Black.

Blacks also accounted for 35% of the unarmed people killed by police, despite again, being just 13% of the population.

Blacks are 3x more likely to get killed by police than whites. My son is 9x more likely to get killed by police than his white peers.

helmets I agree with...one saved my life on a naval base while driving my motorcycle when broadsided by a car of drunken sailors....but I must ask....when is the last time bulletproof glass and Kevlar saved your life Maris and what are the chances either ever will?

Too many times to know, but every time they save a soldier's life in battle they keep the enemy from advancing toward my home.

I've never had a seat belt or airbag save my life either, although I've survived 9 auto accidents none of which were my fault.

With about the same number of vehicles as guns in America, guess which one is used to kill more people every year?

Stats are like bible verses, you can use them to "prove" anything.

For instance, if I am in a room with 1 dark-complexioned person and 5 light-complexioned people I am more likely to be murdered by the dark-complexioned person.

Statistical fact.

Your son is far, far more likely to be killed by someone of his own race than by someone of another race.

As are we all.

I don't think there would be any way to tell which one delivered the fatal blow. The headline would read:

"Man beaten to death by six people; had it coming"

barfo

Do you have a lot of enemy invasions in your neighborhood? I have never had enemy invasion in my neighborhood.

I've never had a seat belt or airbag save my life either, although I've survived 9 auto accidents none of which were my fault.

And your extremely little personal experience outweighs all the data that shows that seatbelts and air bags save lives?

With about the same number of vehicles as guns in America, guess which one is used to kill more people every year?

And which is used more in every day life? cars or guns. Again another poor and useless example

About 30% of all murder victims are shot in the back.

I'll bet most of them got into it face to face in the first place.

Just walking away before something escalated to the danger point just might save some lives.

That Tiger cub eyed you like I eye a prime NY charred medium rare with a baked potato on the side. Tell me, did it try to lick you?

Who can afford to own a guy other than Trump? I rent one to do my yard work.

Tigers eat the genitals of their prey first...makes sense he braced himself on the knee...

well S2 members do pay you to get HCP out of the house for the day...not sure why

Yet again, thank God for that. However, that's renting not owning.

I guess you could say I own Sly when it comes to humor, that's about it. By the way, don't listen to his synopsis of me 'cause it sucks.

Only that I'm not. You're using the "America is so different" bullshit excuse. It's cool tho..
Because Australia and the US are exactly the same and the only major difference is gun legislation. That's bullshit.

Sorry I don't care. Other countries don't have this problem and it's because they have strict gun laws. I'm all for strict gun laws and I'm done caring about how others feel about it.

And you don’t have to own a gun. Many of us live in areas where cops are more tha 20 min away. And as we say in FL if they do show up they may decide to stay outside. If a bad guy comes into my house he will be taking the room temperature challenge. I’m not leaving the protection of my family to someone else who may not even show up. You can take your chances if you want.

A shotgun is perfect for this purpose.
