Barnes reminded me a bit of Evan Turner. I thought Turner was going to be an elite NBA player.

I learned my lesson on Turner, and applied it to Barnes.

Not saying Barnes will become legit. But I've seen more from him to-date than I have Evans. I didn't see much from Evans (to get excited about) his entire rookie season.

Eh, I admit I was hoping that Thomas Robinson would fall to us, but I wasn't unhappy with Lillard at all. I think I was a bit more disappointed in the Leonard pick at 11, but that's because I thought we should have taken Lamb.

Lillards been great so far, I'd definitely rank him ahead of Barnes if we re-did the draft today.

Crazy that I'm not sure if I'd rank him ahead of Drummond...

But pretty exciting that we drafted the ROY!

You have to have a closer to win in the NBA. The best closers are the players who possess great handles, a three point threat, a pull up jumper, and the ability to get to the basket. Porter could do it and Roy could do it.

Every team has to have one. (OKC had three last year. Miami has two) Barnes will be a good player, but Curry is their guy. It is the most important player on the team. Portland needed one and got him. End of debate IMO.

I will say Harrison Barnes has looked real good in the Playoffs. Still wouldn't take him over Lillard but I think he is going to be a fine player as well.

He'll be a decent role player. He's not a franchise PG or All-Star, though. He can't create his own offense.

I am not saying he will get there but his ceiling tops out above role player imo. (Everyone has a different opinion of what role player means though) And as I said, I very happy that we picked who we did.

Nice series for Barnes. Averaged 14.8 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 46% FG, 40% from 3. Mostly the product of more touches without Lee, but he did expand his game with some nice pull-up midrange J's and showed better consistency from 3.
