No one even near the line of site was hit with a semi automatic weapon. Trumps ear was hit because of the glass podium shattering. The people hit were in the bleachers, not near where Trump was. It was a weapon that can shoot off several rounds in quick succession.

Just a lot of fishy stuff with all this. Especially the timing of it all.

Apparently, he wasn't able to join a rifle club because he was such a terrible shot.

They’re supposed to be the best of the best and this 20 year old kid who’s dad bought him an AR15 six months earlier outwitted them?

Maybe he familiarized himself with the location. Seems like he was there with people who knew him, based on the video of people calling his name, maybe looked around and saw a weak spot where no agents were and went for it.

Read the article Roadratt just posted. So many questions that need answered.

I don’t think it’s really far fetched to think an inside job setup was possible.

Probably not uncommon to see people outside Trump rallies carrying guns. But, yeah not sure how he got past them.

I'll read it.

I just don't see it. They hired a random 20 year old to take shots, allowing him to kill two people, and graze Trump before taking him out? That's insane.

I do have questions about what took them so long to shoot him once they saw him. Maybe they thought he was law enforcement? Lots of explaining to do.

I don't think this will be happening again after this. Not in this manner anyway. They will be checking all the roofs from here on out. You can bet on that.
 
I suspect that having a job that involves standing around waiting for something that almost never happens probably turns you into a pretty lazy person, and soon you stop even looking for those things that never seem to happen because ho-hum, another boring-ass day.

Even if you can somehow explain away how it's possible that security could have allowed someone to climb onto a rooftop, 150 yards from a speaking president, while a crowd of people is gawking and pointing at him, alerting police/secret service, and the security forces failed to act, you then have to explain why they didn't get on the radio and issue whatever the code word is for "get the president down!"


 
Joe's best option, with our C.I.A., F.B.I., military, police, etc., at his disposal, was to hire an inept 20 year old. Who's best laid plan was to: Show up to a presidential rally, with a high powered weapon. To then proceed to climb the nearest building, on a sunny day, in broad daylight, while people are shouting to the police.

The logic is so air tight. The republicans got me convinced. Joe must have ordered the hit!

Those that carry out assassinations usually don't want the deed to be tied back to them. So you set up a "lone nut" to do it and take the fall.

In the case of the JFK assassination, a lone nut took the fall, but they had a professional team actual do the shooting. But many eye witnesses spotted them, and that would be a much tougher thing to get away within the age of cell phones and live streaming.

And the shot was only an inch off from being a pink mist.
