Yes, this bothers me too. On one hand, I appreciate those who have expressed their disdain for this, but on the other hand, many of those same people have been railing about how "Trump = Hitler" and is an "existential threat to our democracy".

I mean hell, if you really believe that they why wouldn't you cheer on his assassin?

I don't think the guy trolling was trying to look like the middle photo. I think he legitimately looks similar. The New York Post ran his photo along with the middle one and drew him into it. He took it from there.

He was clearly posing to mimic that picture. He pulled a good prank and was laughing about it for awhile, see his twitter profile @jewgazing. But the blowback was too much for him and he went into protected mode.

No, he's really not. The photo of the guy in the blue shirt and the guy in the Demolition Ranch shirt came out at virtually the same time and I think the Post is the one that first ran them. Probably did a reverse image search.

For what you say to be true, the guy that did the trolling would have had to be following this super closely run outside and taken a photo in bright sunlight when it's dusk.

Why can't you just listen to reason for once? Good lord. I'm just giving you information you didn't have and you still have to take that as a reason to argue for something you clearly don't know.

Trump has been accused of rape by a great many women. He admits to forcibly grabbing many women by the "pussy".

Women and girls have gone on record saying Trump raped them. Even filing court documents before dropping the case due to death threats.

Trump publicly judges people (immigrants) based on their race.

Trump is a racist. And was considered to be so long before he ran for president.

Nazi. I don't know. He's definitely a fascist and has said he wants to be dictator and punish his political opponents. He's claimed admitted Nazis were fine people.

That's enough for me to associate him with Nazi type ideals.

While shooting him is not the answer, there is nothing to love about Trump. And I have no doubt that Trump would gladly have his opponents shot.

He's definitely a felon. And I hope nobody let's up on him. They need to go hard after him so everyone knows they are voting for a liar who has been convicted of literally refusing to do business with people based on their race, and who has been accused of raping multiple women and girls, and who brags that he forces sexual contact on women.

Who tried to keep power by force the last time he was president.

This is a person who should never have any government position.

Trump is definitely an existential threat to US democracy.

There is no room for supporting or encouraging political violence in democracy.

I didn't say he was racist because he is opposed to illegal immigration. He literally calls them rapists and animals based on their race or place of origin. Yet we know that they commit crime at lower rates than US citizens.

That's racist alone.

I'm going on record as someone who does not condone assassinating Trump....I prefer he rot in prison. Trump has insulted so many people it'll be hard to pinpoint a single motive but hopefully it's a wake up call for security. As to racist...Trump has always been racist...he's repeatedly said he prefers immigrants from Denmark over immigrants from Mexico. A FEW ARE GOOD PEOPLE were his words I believe.

No. Immigrants commit crime at far lower rates than US citizens. Even illegal immigrants.

Criminals are coming across the border at lower rates than are already here. Immigration reduces our crime rate.

What you are saying is factually wrong. It is racist.
 
Both parties dehumanize each other daily through their media, daily.

While I believe in free speech. Fox literally spews hatred towards democrats, most of the time. The lefts media does the same now. Only in a different way, so as to mask their dehumanization of the right. At least a bit. But it is still there to see, for anybody with eyes. When you want a good laugh, go watch any late night show. Instead of a good laugh, every monologue is about how horrible a republican is. Politics has seeped into every facet of our day. You can't escape the hatred being spewed at us, by both sides, all day long.

There is plenty of blame for the politicization, and dehumanization of both the democrats and republicans. Because both sides literally engage in the practice, every single day.

The real issue is the demonization, in calling him Hitler and an "existential threat". If you buy the narratives the democrats have been spinning about Trump, an assassination attempt is heroic.

But the media and the dems have been whipping up this TDS ever since he won the nomination.

Sorry, but that's just silly.

The US real estate industry, which is Trump's main area of business, is dependent on exploitable illegal immigrant labor.

Roofing, construction, landscaping, painting, and cleaning, are just some of the occupations that hire and use illegal labor. Trump has used and most likely still is using illegals on his properties.

Disinformation Swirls on Social Media After Trump Rally Shooting

(Bloomberg) -- Moments after former President Donald Trump was escorted off the stage after shots were fired at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, unfounded claims about the event swirled on major social media platforms.

The posts, including some written by US politicians holding elected office, claimed without proof that President Joe Biden had ordered an apparent shooting at the rally. Others baselessly stated that the incident was staged, or circulated posts misidentifying the shooter.

In the aftermath of major news, the facts of an event are not always immediately clear. Law enforcement, including the Secret Service, the FBI, Pennsylvania state police and the Justice Department have said they are continuing to investigate the shooting, including the possibility it was an assassination attempt.

Experts urged caution before sharing unsubstantiated information.

“In any fast developing event, there is inevitably a high influx of false or unverified information, especially on social media,” said Graham Brookie, senior director of the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab, which studies social media misinformation.

On X, several politicians accused Biden or his campaign of being “directly” behind the apparent shooting, without providing evidence.

Georgia Representative Mike Collins posted simply, “Joe Biden sent the orders,” while Ohio Senator J.D. Vance, a top contender for Trump’s vice-presidential running mate, wrote on X that the Biden campaign’s rhetoric “led directly to President Trump’s attempted assassination.”

Texas Representative Ronny Jackson pointed to unnamed figures on the left whom he accused of being “directly responsible” for the events at Trump’s campaign rally.

Collins, Vance and Jackson did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Their posts on X altogether garnered more than 7.3 million views on Saturday evening, according to data from the social media platform.

As of late Saturday evening, the shooter’s name had not been released to the public though NBC News said authorities have tentatively identified the man as approximately 20 years old and from Pennsylvania.

Earlier posts on X, Telegram and Gab, forums favored by many on the far-right, misidentified the shooter as a man called Mark Violets, calling him a “known Antifa extremist” which refers to the loosely organized leftist movement. According to NBC News, the misidentified person circulated in posts that included a photo was Marco Violi, an Italian YouTuber who has denied any involvement in the shooting.

Immediately after the shooting, hundreds of thousands of posts reaching millions of views circulated on X claiming the shooting at the Pennsylvania rally was “staged,” according to data from the social media platform — without offering any evidence. Despite being quickly debunked, many of the posts remained live on the platform.

In the past year, content moderation efforts on major social media platforms have been weakened, as social media analysis tools have been shelved by Meta Platforms Inc. and others, and efforts from academic teams tracking misinformation, such as the Stanford Internet Observatory, have wound down.

There’s crazy and mentally unfit people on both sides. To point fingers at rhetoric is just stupid.

These nutters fall down a rabbit hole of conspiracy theories no matter the rhetoric or talking points by either side.

But it’s easier for these looney politicians to capitalize on when it happens to rile up their fervent base even more.
