This is how crazies are born.
Enough people spew hateful nametags to the point everyone believes it and rains judgement down on others based on opinions and personal feelings and then the extremists follow the word and put it into action.
this is why i cant stand generalistic labels condemning others based off of differences of opinions.
Racist
Nazi
Rapist
Trump has been called all these things ad nausium.
And some extremist put those hate words into action.
but i thought it was the right that incites violence?
You want voter fraud? Here it is. This is the peak of free election denial. And by who? A Trump hater, very likely a lefty.
Ive been hearing and reading for years how the right wants a war. How they want to end democracy.
You know what?
actions speak louder than words
but there is one word that comes to mind anytime i read some comments.
Hypocrit.
I want peace. Yeah? Really? With all the violent pushing hate labels being tossed out there all the time?
People talking about staged? Okay
How about it was a lefty who did it to provoke trump into turning us into a military state if he wins.
so ill join the game. Here is my opinion im just gonna claim as fact.
The left shot at trump but intentionally did not kill him, In hopes he wins the election and sends us into a civil war. The left wants to tear it all down. How better than to get the other side to do it and then blame them for it????
Genius. Evil genius
But just the Facts!!!!!
Its hilarious how some say Trump will create a war with his words. Yet its the lefts’ words that have caused the first shot.
Just read @Road Ratt comments! Sickening. A guy who claims he wants peace, not killing Trump was a failure.
The double standard is sooo mindboggling insane, i really think more and mote people are simply incapable of using deductive reasoning on thier own actions, speech and behavior.
It all has cause and effect.
Kids growing up reading hate memes constantly and you want peace? Do you not see how our children will grow to become more hateful?
There is only one way to stop hate.
Love.
Someone has to take the high road. Someone has to be the bigger individual. Someone has to stop the endless cycle of hatred.
It starts with ourselves. In our circles of friends. Stop talking about who you hate and why and talk about what you love and why.
We are conditioned to behave and react to atrocities and not beauty.
I truly pray people open their eyes to the cycle they are a part of and realize no matter how much you disagree with someones policies, hate speech does nothing but makes things worse and instigates crazies to do things like this and this could be the tip pf the iceburg.
Stop the hate speech/meme trend.
Be better than the average hater.
Walk above those who have nothing but hate and revenge in their hearts.
Pull away from those who turn their opinions into hatred of anyone who disagrees.
These are the ones who will pull this county down the toilet.
These are the ones who claim they want peace but live their lives hating half of society.
These are the ones who will end this country if we keep feeding off of their hatred.
Break the hate trend. Find something to love and focus on that.
No.
Your post might have been well-intentioned, but it quickly falls into the very hypocrisy it rails against.
When Project Valkyrie failed in 1944, Hitler didn’t become less of a Nazi, less racist or less violent, and it wasn’t the job of everyone else to ignore him for what he was.
It’s the same here.
We absolutely don’t want anyone shot to death, especially for a differing political point of view. However, Trump has been the one from Day 1 (even before Day 1) swimming in xenophobic, misogynist, racist, violent tropes. It’s him and his party leadership that is following nearly step for step what the Nazis did in Germany in the 1920s and early 1930s. It’s him that raped and defamed E. Jean Carroll. It’s him that cheated on his wife with a porn star.
And it’s him, despite all that, who still is running for president and it’s his supporters that don’t care that he did all of that.
The left didn’t put words “It’ll be a bloodbath if I don’t win” into his mouth. It wasn’t the left Svengali-ing him into calling KKK “very fine people” or undocumented immigrants criminals and mentally ill people or saying for his supporters to punch anyone heckling him at a rally and he’d pay for it, or to incite his supporters to attack the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021 chanting to kill Pence and Pelosi, or to want to implement a radical change in government that would result in perpetual minority rule for him and his followers.
That’s not normal or acceptable and we have a responsibility to shine a light on it so everyone’s aware.
You’re advocating that, despite Trump taking this rhetoric into this realm that his opponents not call him on it. That’s ridiculous. This stuff isn’t being made up. It’s just recounting what he’s said and done.
You can’t say it’s OK for him to do it but Democrats have to campaign with an arm tied behind their back.
We need to be fair. We can sympathize for him and the shooting victims and denounce the act while still being honest about who Trump is, indeed who he’s always unabashedly claimed to be. All it takes for evil to triumph is for everyone to stand around and take no action.
The bullet didn’t absolve Trump, just like Stauffenberg’s bomb didn’t absolve Hitler. They still were who they were. They don’t get a pass on their bad acts because someone tried to eliminate them. They need to be judged on their merits and their sins.
Also, you make an incorrect and dangerous assumption -- and, again, one that is divisive in a post that you claim is to be against division -- that Crooks must be a leftist. Maybe he is, but he also appears to have been a gun-enthusiast, which is more aligned with the right.
It’s worth remembering that Stauffenberg and his co-conspirators against Hitler were themselves Nazis. Alexander II might have been the most enlightened of the Russian tsars, freeing the serfs, and yet his subjects blew him to bits.
In the future, maybe don’t accuse others of what you yourself are doing in your narrative.
