Predictable.

I thought when this first happened and that image of him pumping his fist would really give him a surge in the electorate. Then I realized that was 25 years ago and we're living in post-modernism now and the social media posts actually seem to be making fun of him for the most part for doing that, like they think it seems inauthentic. I don't think this is going to give him a real boost anymore.

Such strange times we live in. Never thought I'd live to see this.

It's crazy to believe that could even happen in this day and age.
 
His base is definitely more energized to vote for him in November. I think this derails the whole put a bullseye on Trump rhetoric for at least a month or two, as he can argue that it's the sort of talk that got an innocent bystander killed. Father time is undefeated though, and his cousin, the 24 hour news cycle, is a gifted amateur about to turn pro. Still plenty of time left on the clock.

It’s sort of hard to respect people who sit on here and bloviate, day in and day out, about how Trump is the embodiment of evil, grave threat to our country and the world, a Nazi, a fascist, etc. Then, turn around when something like this happens and vomit up the same mundane, applause break talking points condemning violence and feigning some type of civility. JUST IN: Thomas Matthew Crooks had explosive devices in his car that he drove to the Trump rally according to the Wall Street Journal.

Police say they were tipped off of suspicious packages near the suspect.

"Police received multiple reports of suspicious packages around near where the shooter was, authorities said, prompting them to dispatch bomb technicians," the WSJ reported.

"Investigators were still working to make sure the scene was clear well into the night. They also searched Crooks’s home and spoke with his family." The FBI still says there is no clear motive.

I thought the Republican Party would wait until after electing him to poison him slowly. But maybe martyrdom would be preferable for them politically.
