Shaking the couch cushions.

Were they both 1sts? I know there's that one firsty that's top 12 protected next summer... but what's the other one?
Someone dubbed it earlier Blazers East, after I pointed out the same thing. Minnesota Blazers Retirement team!

the one we got for Bayless. NOH 2011 pick

So if we had re-signed Bayless, and acquired Dante back in a trade, it would have been Tobias Harris for Damian Lillard

Yeah, let's all just ignore Sean Marks here.

LOL how could I forget Marks
I would say Thabeet. He is blessed with excellent tank skills. Requires little coaching.Who was the better tank jobber: Marks or Thabeet?

Minni beat writer Wolfson alluded to this just an hour ago...and said there will be a resolution today because Batum wants to leave to France
Oh God, this is the gift that keeps on giving. Sooner or later it will be resolved 'today'.
Calkins nails it on Batum

Minny is in even worse shape because they have a signed offer (they just can't submit it). NY was going to match Lin (I think), but yeah sucks for Asik if they really go through with the D Ho trade and hang Asik out to dry.Supposedly Rockets haven't signed Asik or Linn to offer sheets either, if they back out to complete a Howard trade it'll look pretty bad on the Rockets organization.
But if Wolves also back out of Batum offer then you have multiple NBA franchises not following through with verbal offers, so maybe everyone will view it as a new part of the free agency game. I wonder if Daryl and Kahn are chatting on following the same path.
That's an interesting situation -- Asik would be a great stop-gap, long-term backup.
Though, he's commanding about $8m/per, correct?

Nightmare scenario, Batum is matched by us (YAY!) and Minnesota has all this capspace they cleared for nothing (yay!) OR DID THEY? Suddenly a Dwight Howard appears and falls in KLove with Mosquito bites and Frostbite. :MARIS61:
problem with Asik is its 5m, 5m, 15m.
Didnt realize that. Freaken wierdThat is how it is on the cap for Chicago if they match. If it isn't matched it goes on Houston's cap at 8.3M, 8.3M, 8.3M. The actual cash payment is 5m,5m,15m regardless.
Those are very unusual contracts with the Gilbert Arenas early bird restricted free agency rules.
